El rey Felipe VI ha impactado a todos en su aparición pública de este lunes en la inauguración de la quinta edición de ‘Wake Up, Spain!‘.

El monarca ha salido ante los medios de comunicación con la cara quemada por el sol. Felipe VI no ha dudado en pedir disculpas por su aspecto y ha revelado las razones de su rostro quemado: “Esto es lo que ocurre cuando uno no se protege adecuadamente“.

Estas palabras del rey provocaron las risas de los asistentes al foro organizado por ‘El Español’, Invertia y Disruptores en Casa América de  Madrid.

El rey se produjo las quemaduras en la cara este fin de semana cuando estuvo esquiando en el Pirineo aragonés, en la estación de Formigal, en una jornada con mucho sol.

Según la Academia Española de Dermatología, “el sol puede resultar más peligroso para la piel que en verano, ya que los rayos solares se reflejan en la nieve y suponen una agresión más potente y dañina“.

Por eso recomiendan que cuando se practiquen deportes de montaña, como el esquí, “es necesaria la aplicación frecuente de protección solar, ya que el sudor provocado por el esfuerzo que requiere el ejercicio físico disminuye la eficacia de las cremas empleadas”.

Puede provocar hasta cáncer

Si no hay protección solar la consecuencia son lesiones en la piel que pueden derivar en cánceres, como el carcinoma basocelular o el melanoma, el más agresivo.

No solo es la piel de la cara, también es necesario proteger otras zonas que queden expuestas al sol, como es el caso de las manos si en algún momento nos quitamos los guantes.

Los labios son una de las partes del cuerpo más sensibles en la práctica de deportes de invierno. Por eso, es necesario aplicar crema hidratante labial con protección solar para evitar quemaduras y también para combatir la sequedad producida por el sol y el frío, evitando grietas e incluso la aparición de herpes.

No es solo la piel la que se puede ver afectada por el sol de la montaña, como le ha ocurrido al rey con quemaduras en la cara, también lo ojos puede sufrir lesiones.
