Showdown um die Champions League am letzten Spieltag der Premier League!

Gleich fünf Mannschaften kämpfen um die letzten drei verbleibenden Plätze um die Königsklasse. Fünf Mannschaften qualifizieren sich über die Liga für den größten internationalen Klub-Wettbewerb (dazu kommt Europa-League-Sieger Tottenham).

Die Entscheidung am letzten Spieltag in der Übersicht.

Die Skyblues gewinnen bei Fulham mit 2:0 und machen den Einzug in die Champions League perfekt – dank eines Traumtores von Ilkay Gündogan.

21. Minute: Nach einem Angriff über Marmoush flankt Nunes den Ball in die Mitte. Fulham-Keeper Leno lässt den Ball nur abklatschen. Gündogan setzt zum Fallrückzieher an und trifft artistisch aus kurzer Distanz zur Führung – 1:0! Der Zauber-Treffer sein erstes Premier-League-Tor in dieser Saison. Und ein ganz wichtiges.

In der zweiten Halbzeit sorgt Haaland vom Punkt nach einem Foul von Lucic an Torschütze Gündogan für klare Verhältnisse – 2:0 (72.).

City und Trainer Guardiola (54) retten in einer titellosen Saison zumindest die Quali für die Champions League über die Ziellinie.

Newcastle – Everton 0:1

Party trotz Pleite!

Newcastle verliert mit 0:1 gegen Everton, büßt am letzten Spieltag noch einen Platz ein. Reicht am Ende trotzdem für die Champions League – weil Aston Villa und Nottingham parallel ebenfalls verlieren.

Am Ende entscheidet das Torverhältnis!

Newcastle (+21), punktgleich mit Villa (+7), spielt deshalb in der kommenden Saison in der Königsklasse.

65. Minute: Alcarez köpft nach einer Flanke von Mykolenko den Treffer des Tages. Versöhnlicher Saisonabschluss für Everton, das 13. wird.

Nottingham – Chelsea 0:1

Chelsea schlägt die „Tricky Trees“ hauchdünn mit 1:0 und ist damit nächste Saison in der Königsklasse dabei.

Die Entscheidung nach der Halbzeit: Neto bedient Colwill, der zur Führung einschiebt (50.). 1:0 für Chelsea.

Bitter für Forest: Kurz vor der Pause verpasst Chris Wood völlig frei aus wenigen Metern das 1:0 (43.). Ein Unentschieden hätte Nottingham zumindest für die Europa League gereicht. Jetzt spielt Forest in der Conference League.

Manchester United feiert wenige Tage nach der Final-Pleite in der Euro League einen versöhnlichen Abschluss – 2:0 gegen Aston Villa. Verdirbt Villa den erneuten Einzug in die Königsklasse.

Der erste Aufreger in der 45. +1 Minute: Villa-Keeper Martinez stürmt nach einem katastrophalen Zuspiel von Cash aus dem Tor, rammt Dänen-Stürmer Hojlund weg. Schiri Bramall zückt sofort Rot für den argentinischen Torwart.

In Unterzahl trifft Villa später sogar zur vermeintlichen Führung (73.). Rogers’ Treffer zählt allerdings nicht wegen einer Schiri-Panne.

Bitter: Weil der Unparteiische abpfeift, bevor der Ball hinter der Linie ist, darf der VAR nicht eingreifen.

Es kommt noch schlimmer! In der Schlussphase entscheidet United binnen sechs Minuten das Spiel. Nach einem wunderschönen Zuspiel von Bruno Fernandes köpft Amad ein zur Führung (81.). Anschließen erhöht Eriksen in seinem letzten Pflichtspiel für die Red Devils per Foulelfmeter (87.).

Für Aston Vila reicht es immerhin für die Europa League!
