A ‘era Carlo Ancelotti‘ começou na seleção brasileira. Nesta segunda (26), o treinador italiano convocou os 23 jogadores para os duelos do próximo mês pelas Eliminatórias. Aclamado pelo torcedor brasileiro e alvo de grande repercussão pela imprensa, o italiano listou algumas novidades na relação.
A principal delas é a ausência de Neymar, que depois do longo período e do corte na última convocação feita por Dorival Júnior, o atacante segue fora do escrete canarinho, pelo qual não atua desde outubro de 2023, quando se lesionou gravemente.
De surpresas na seleção brasileira, Ancelotti anunciou o goleiro Hugo Souza, do Corinthians, o zagueiro Alexandro Ribeiro, os laterais Carlos Augusto, além dos retornos de Casemiro, do Manchester United, Richarlison, do Tottenham.

Quando a seleção brasileira joga?
Ocupando a quarta posição nas Eliminatórias, com 21 pontos, o Brasil volta a campo nos dias 5 e 10 de junho, para enfrentar Equador, em Guayaquil, e o Paraguai, na Neo Química Arena, respectivamente. A depender dos resultados da Data Fifa de junho, o escrete pode confirmar o passaporte para a Copa.
Até o momento, somente a Argentina está com a classificação garantida entre as seleções da América do Sul, conseguindo o feito com quatro rodadas de antecedência, na Data Fifa de março. Com o Mundial sendo ampliado para 48 participantes, as Eliminatórias garantem seis equipes em classificação direta e o sétimo colocado disputa a repescagem.
Em termos de programação, os jogadores irão se apresentar a Ancelotti na próxima segunda (02), em São Paulo, onde já trabalham com o treinador no CT Joaquim Grava. Na terça-feira (03), haverá uma nova movimentação, e no final da tarde, a delegação embarca para Guayaquil.
