Caitlin Clark may be sidelined with a left quad strain, but she’s still flying with her teammates, supporting the Fever on the road, and sporting her love for Taylor Swift loud and proud. On Tuesday Clark was captured on video as she boarded a plane with the team ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Washington Mystics.

The moment, shared via the Fever’s official Instagram account, showed the star rookie wearing a black T-shirt from Swift’s record-breaking “Eras Tour.”

“Reppin’ T-Swift, baby!” Clark said to the camera. “Best shirt in the world.”

Clark, who’s built a reputation for her grit, sharpshooting, and fierce competitiveness, is also known for her pop culture fandom. And at the top of that list is none other than Taylor Swift.

Thunder’s Road Woes: A Critical Game Four Ahead in Minnesota

A friendship rooted in music and mutual admiration

Clark has been open about her admiration for Swift in previous interviews, and the feeling seems to be mutual. In an interview with Bustle earlier this month, Clark revealed that she attended multiple “Eras Tour” stops in 2023. Her enthusiasm for the pop star was rewarded in a major way-Swift sent her several bags of fan merchandise, filled to the brim with clothing from the global tour.

“It was helpful in [that] I have good drip now,” Clark said in the interview. “I have every sweatshirt and Taylor Swift Eras T-shirt in about every color and size. So if anybody needs any, I will let you borrow [one]. But, yeah, I have an option for every outfit. She was kind enough to help me.

Though Clark is not expected to play until at least June 9 due to her quad injury, she’s clearly remaining active with the team and engaged in team activities. Her presence on the road underscores her leadership and commitment to the group, even while recovering.

Before her injury, Clark was averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game-leading her team in scoring and playmaking.

She’s been the focal point of Indiana Fever‘s offense, and her absence leaves a significant void. Still, her energy off the court continues to make a difference, both in the locker room and among fans
