Die HSV-Handballer verkünden vor dem Duell in der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga gegen den ThSV Eisenach die neuen Verträge ihrer Helden. Unter dem laufen Beifall der 3321 Zuschauer.
Trainer Torsten Jansen (48), Welt- und Europameister, verlängert seinen bis 2026 laufenden Kontrakt vorzeitig bis 2028. Co-Trainer Blazenko Lackovic (44), Olympiasieger und Weltmeister mit Kroatien, bleibt für zwei weitere Jahre bis 2027.

Der HSV, der in der vergangenen Woche die zehntägige Pause für einen 48-Stunden-Trip nach Mallorca nutzte, in Feierlaune. Aber Eisenach will als Gast nicht mitjubeln, macht lange den Party-Crasher beim 31:29 (12:12) für die Hamburger.
Dabei versprüht das Tor-Monster Marko Grgic (21) gar nicht so viel Gefahr. Der deutsche Nationalspieler kam mit 264 Toren in die Hansestadt, er ist die klare Nr. 1 in der Liga. Beim Erfolg der Thüringer im Hinspiel (32:31) hatte er dem HSV neun Stück eingeschweißt.
[–>Im Rückspiel ist es aber nicht Grgic der Hamburg ärgert, sondern die unorthodoxe Eisenach-Abwehr, die ThSV-Coach Misha Kaufmann spielen lässt. Mal offensiv mit drei Spielern an der Mittellinie, auch mal vier, mal defensiv. HSV-Kreisläufer Andreas Magaard (26): „Wir müssen im Angriff immer etwas ändern. Das macht es uns schwer den Rhythmus zu finden.“
Das Spiel der direkten Tabellennachbarn sehr zäh. „Wir sind vorn zu hektisch, geben die Bälle her für nichts. Wir brauchen mehr Geduld“, mahnt Jansen in der Auszeit. Seine Offensive wirkt oft hilflos. Die schnellen Beine von Leif Tissier (25) und Moritz Sauter (22) kommen nicht ins Laufen. Erst durch den siebten Feldspieler wird es gefährlich. Dafür läuft es hinten, Mohamed El-Tayar (29) hält über 40 %.

Eisenach, der Aufsteiger von 2023, bleibt dran, verpasst es nach der Pause sogar selbst in Führung gehen. Zwei Würfe aufs leere Tor finden ihr Ziel nicht. Kaufmann, der auch Sieben gegen Sechs spielen lässt, drückt den Buzzer, ist sauer: „Wir spielen zu kompliziert vorn, das gefällt mir nicht. Wir spielen zu viele scheiß Pässe.“
Es wird nur bedingt besser, es bleibt am Ende ein spannender Abnutzungskampf, Hamburg ein, zwei Tore vorn. Beide Seiten packen zu, lauern auf Fehler. Eisenach macht mehr – großer Jubel beim HSV und seinen beiden Bank-Helden.
