O Fortaleza define a vida na Libertadores nesta quinta-feira (29). Sem vencer há quatro jogos, o time de Juan Pablo Vojvoda visita o Racing logo mais às 21h30 (de Brasília), em choque da sexta e última rodada da etapa de grupos, que vale briga pela classificação às oitavas de final. Apesar do momento de instabilidade, o cenário no pleito parra avanço não é dos mais complicados para os nordestinos.
Na situação de momento, a equipe ocupa a segunda posição do Grupo E, com oito tentos, estando a dois do oponente argentino, que já está classificado e depende apenas de um empate para assegurar o topo da chave. O adversário direto do Leão do Pici é o modesto Atlético Bucaramanga. O time estreante na Libertadores é o terceiro da chave, com seis pontos, e joga fora de casa, no mesmo horário, contra o já eliminado Colo-Colo.
O Fortaleza se classifica caso:
- Se vencer o Racing (independente do placar), termina como líder da chave
- Se empatar e o Atlético Bucaramanga não golear o Colo-Colo tirando uma diferença de sete gols no saldo
- Se perder e o Bucaramanga só empatar ou perder para o Colo-Colo, no Chile.
Fortaleza pode ter caminhos diferentes na Libertadores
Se vencer o Racing fora de casa, o Fortaleza termina a fase na dianteira do grupo, e logo será alocado no Pote 1 do sorteio, que acontece na próxima segunda (2), na sede da Conmebol, tendo o direito de fazer o segundo jogo decisivo em casa. Neste cenário, o Leão tem pela frente times do Pote 2, que já possuem alguns nomes confirmados: Botafogo, Universitario, Flamengo, Libertad e Cerro Porteño.
Se avançar na segunda posição, além de atuar a partida decisiva longe do Castelão, o Tricolor pode ter adversários mais complicados como River Plate, Estudiantes, Palmeiras, São Paulo, Internacional e LDU. No próximo sorteio, onde também será definido o chaveamento até à finalíssima em Lima, não há restrições para enfrentamentos, podendo inclusive ter a formação de um novo duelo contra o Racing, desta feita pelo mata-mata.
Racing foi algoz na primeira rodada
Atual campeão da Copa Sul-Americana, o Racing atropelou o Fortaleza no duelo de estreia na Libertadores 2025, desbancando o Leão do Pici por 3 a 0, em pleno Castelão, palco onde o time de Vojvoda ostenta números expressivos. Naquela oportunidade, Salas, Almendra e Sosa, anotaram os tentos dos visitantes, abrindo contagem no Grupo E.
Para dar o ‘troco’, o time nordestino se inspira no Bucaramanga, que conseguiu superar os argentinos em Avellaneda pelo placar de 2 a 1, em duelo que teve portões fechados, em decorrência de punição aplicada ao Racing. No duelo de logo mais, no entanto, o cenário será diferente em termos de torcida, com projeção de excelente público no Estádio Juan Domingo Perón.
