Jennifer Lopez has decided to reinvent herself after her divorce from Ben Affleck, and she is doing it in a big way. The 55-year-old celebrity is transforming her new $21 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California, with a renovation she describes as a “sexy glow up”.
The sprawling 10,000-square-foot property was purchased in February, shortly after she finalized her two-year marriage to Affleck. The mansion boasts a main house, guest house, pool house, a full gym, private cinema, and an equestrian area with stables and riding arena.
“Bright, cheerful, flirtatious and confident”

“Jennifer is renovating the house to her liking. She is spending a lot because she wants everything to have her personal touch. She wants the place to be bright, cheerful and flirtatious,” a source commented.
Lopez is no stranger to the area. She lived in Calabasas in 2001 during her marriage to Cris Judd. However, this new chapter symbolises something deeper: her independence and desire for peace. “Jennifer wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a quieter life. It’s not about getting away from Ben or his family,” the insider clarified.
The mansion offers total security, ideal for her children Max and Emme. “She can rest easy if the kids go out for a walk or a bike ride,” the source added.
The other mansion has not yet been sold
While preparing for her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, which kicks off on July 4 in Egypt, Lopez also plans to enjoy the summer at her new retreat. Her 56th birthday will be on July 24, a key date to celebrate this new stage.
The singer and Affleck have yet to sell the Beverly Hills mansion they shared, which is listed for $68 million. For Lopez, that chapter is over. Now, she is focused on building a new beginning, her way.
