The Tennessee Titans’ Cam Ward was shockingly kicked out of the front office at the Nissan Stadium for spending too much time there, as the 2025 NFL Draft overall first pick prepares for his rookie campaign.
After graduating from the Miami Hurricanes, the quarterback was told he’s moving to Nashville to begin his professional career and he’s already proving to be annoying, but for all of the right reasons.

In his quest to refine his talent, the enthusiastic youngster is learning as much as he can. Known for his leadership qualities, he’s also looking to bed himself into the squad alongside Will Levis, the senior QB.
“I had that conversation (with him),” the head coach, Brian Callahan, said – offering a reason for the intervention. “Everybody always starts out of the gate pretty hot.
“But you start to get into an actual routine, and you understand how long of the season it is, and the marathon that it is for young players.
“From the time they finish the college season, the time they finish in the NFL season.
“I’ve made that point again. It’s not telling him what to do, I’m just making the point that there’s a lot ahead of him that he’s not aware of yet.
“So they learn, they figure it out. Let’s try to help them and give them advice and point it out again. But I have no problem, guys trying to get the work in.”
Cam Ward vs Will Levis: Tale of the Tape
Ward is well in the mix to land the quarterback spot following an inconsistent 2024/25 NFL season for Levis, in what was his first season as the QB1 at the end of a stint behind Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis.
Although he produced 2091 passing yards for 13 touchdowns and a completion rate of 63.1%, he also allowed 12 interceptions – a turnover rate from the 25-year-old that played a key role in the team finishing with a 3-14 record and last in the AFC South.
By contrast, Ward produced 4313 passing yards in the NCAA for a 67.2% completion rate and 39 touchdowns, conceding just seven interceptions. If he can translate those qualities to the NFL then he could take over Levis’ spot sooner than he thinks.
“I think the thing that you’re going to see with Cam Ward,” Louis Riddick said. “As the season goes on, as his career progresses, is that this guy is a football savant.
“I love the kid, and he is a stone-cold killer of a leader, and I think that’s exactly what Tennessee needed.”
Tennessee opens their campaign with a trip to the Empower Field at Mile High to take on the Denver Broncos, spearheaded by Bo Nix, on September 7. Kick-off is expected from 16:05 ET/13:05 PT in Colorado.
