When Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce launched their “New Heights” podcast, not even they could have imagined how big it would get. Initially a way for two NFL players and brothers to talk about football and pop culture surrounding the game, the show now gets appearances from celebrities in all walks of life. Some of those guests are larger than life, and Shaquille O’Neal certainly qualifies.
The NBA legend appeared on Travis and Jason’s popular New Heights podcast this week. There was a bit of an awkward moment during the show, though, at least in the eyes of some Taylor Swift fans.

They delved into several topics, but while recalling meeting Swift at the Super Bowl, O’Neal took a subtle dig at the music star, although really it was just praise for Ice Spice.

Your brother did something nobody else in the world could do. He walked me right over. I got to shake her hand. I was more on Ice Spice than I was on your woman. I was like, ‘Hey Taylor – oh, my God, Ice Spice, how you doing?’
To be fair, O’Neal was likely just being cordial considering Swift is in a relationship and Ice Spice is not. Clearly, the NBA legend was hoping to start up something with Ice Spice, which is not uncommon for everyone who meets her. She has that type of sway.
Thankfully for Travis, he had nothing to worry about. O’Neal is a big teddy bear after all. His appearance on New Heights has drawn rave reviews, and his chemistry with the Kelces really shined through.
