Dana White and Turki Alalshikh have officially announced the creation of a new boxing league, under the name of TKO Group Holdings. The league aims to modernize a sport that is perceived as traditional, seeking to achieve exponential growth similar to that experienced by the UFC in recent years.
However, various media outlets have reported that friction has begun to emerge between the two businessmen, which would be reflected in White‘s exclusion from the promotion of the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford

Regarding the rumors accusing him of not promoting the highly anticipated fight between Alvarez and Crawford, Dana White has spoken out, noting how boxing works behind the scenes, highlighting his active role as a promoter.
Alalshikh had previously announced that the undisputed super middleweight title fight would take place on September 13 and would be promoted by him and White. However, he later revealed that Sela will promote the fight as part of the Riyadh season, raising questions about White’s role.
We have confirmed that the promoter of the Canelo vs. Crawford fight will be Sela for Riyadh Season. We have not yet decided on the network that will broadcast it, but the date will be Saturday, September 13. More details to follow

When asked why he would have been removed from his role as promoter for the Canelo Alvarez fight, White responded emphatically:
“I’ll tell you what’s incredible, man. There’s a lot of fucked up stuff in boxing, but nobody says shit. I mean, nobody talks. It’s the most amazing thing. If we sign a deal, I have to grab the damn phone right away and say, ‘Hey, we just…!’ Because there will be 90,000 people talking about it. But these guys don’t say anything. The location for the fight between Saul Alvarez and Crawford has not yet been defined, but everything indicates that it will be in Las Vegas. Likewise, rumors of a bad relationship between Dana White and Alalshkush have been dispelled, as the Saudi businessman has repeatedly praised White’s work in the UFC
