Fast wäre Juri Knorr (25) der Spielverderber gewesen. Doch die Füchse Berlin gewinnen bei den Rhein-Neckar Löwen am Ende doch noch deutlich 38:33 und werden erstmals Deutscher Meister in der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga.
Dabei zeigt Nationalspieler Juri Knorr noch einmal sein ganzes Können, beschäftigt die Füchse fast im Alleingang, macht 11 Tore. Knorr wäre beinahe zum Partycrasher geworden.

Doch am Ende stehlen die Meister-Füchse mit ihrer Parkett-Party Knorr ein wenig die Show. Er muss lange warten, bevor er sich von seinem Mannheimer Publikum verabschieden kann. Jetzt heißt es bye bye Bundesliga – ab Juli ist der Spielmacher beim dänischen Top-Klub Aalborg unter Vertrag.
Knorr-Abschied geht im Meisterrausch fast unter
Sportlich erreichte Knorr in 4 Jahren bei den Löwen dreimal das Final4 im DHB-Pokal und gewann 2023 den Pott. Zum Abschied dankt Knorr vor 13.200 Fans, mit dem Mikro auf dem Parkett stehend, zuerst seinen Eltern, der Schwester und Großeltern (waren in der Halle).
Und dann schickt Knorr eine kleine Liebeserklärung auf die Tribüne: „Danke auch an meine Freundin Frederike, du hast mich hier die ganze Zeit unterstützt, mir immer den Rücken freigehalten. Danke, dass ihr alle immer für mich da seid.“
[–>Und sendet die nächsten Liebesgrüße an seine nun Ex-Mannschaft gleich hinterher: „Meine Team-Kameraden hier waren immer riesige Vorbilder für mich. Ich hatte Glück. Ich bin von allen hier immer mit offenen Armen empfangen worden. Ich hatte eine Mega-Zeit hier und werde die Spiele in der SAP-Arena nie vergessen. Ich habe immer hier nur Liebe und Wärme empfangen.“

Knorr weiter: „Ich hatte ein schwieriges erstes halbes Jahr, aber dann viele Freunde kennengelernt, die für immer bleiben werden.“
Der Sport-Boss des neuen Meisters, Stefan Kretzschmar (52) hofft, das Knorr schnell wieder da ist: „Ich bedauere es sehr, dass Juri die Bundesliga verlässt. Aber wer weiß, vielleicht sehen wir ihn ja auch ganz schnell wieder.“
