Alles deutet auf den Anfield-Abschied hin – wenn die Summe stimmt.
Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass Barcelona ein Auge auf Liverpools Flügelflitzer Luis Diaz geworfen hat. Und: Spätestens seit bekannt wurde, dass „Reds“-Trainer Arne Slot (46) angeblich mit einer neuen Startelf ohne Diaz plant, will der Kolumbianer wohl auch auf jeden Fall weg.
Wie die spanische „Sport“ berichtet, soll Barça nun klargemacht haben, was der Klub maximal für Diaz auf den Tisch legen würde. Mehr als 60 Millionen Euro sei der La Liga-Riese nicht bereit zu zahlen, heißt es.
Eine mündliche Einigung zwischen Spieler und den Katalanen soll es auch schon geben. Aber: Unklar ist, ob Liverpool überhaupt verkauft! Erst vergangene Woche hatte der Klub unmissverständlich mitgeteilt, dass der Kolumbianer nicht zum Verkauf steht, berichtete „The Athletic“. Ein Gespräch mit Barça sei mit einem klaren Nein der „Reds“ zu Ende gegangen.
[–>Die „Sport“ meldete dann aber einige Tage später, dass es ein Versprechen zwischen Diaz und den Verantwortlichen bei Liverpool gebe. Flattert eine Offerte von 80 Millionen Euros ins Haus, darf Diaz gehen – so die angebliche Übereinkunft.
Für eine Verkaufsbereitschaft auf Seiten Liverpools würde sprechen, dass nur sehr wenig über etwaige Gespräche über eine Vertragsverlängerung nach außen dringen. Diaz hat noch bis 2027 Vertrag – normalerweise würde ein Klub alles daransetzen, den Spieler langfristig zu binden. WENN er denn noch gewollt ist.
Das alles könnte Diaz (25 Torbeteiligungen in 50 Spielen vergangene Saison) aktuell wohl nicht weniger interessieren. Denn: Am Wochenende heiratete Diaz Jugendliebe.

Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, playing through an injury, endured an awful night in Game 5 of the NBA Finals as Oklahoma City Thunder took a 3-2 lead in the series to move within one win of their first NBA title.Haliburton missed all six of his attempted field-goal shots while ending up with four points, seven rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes as the Pacers lost 120-109 in Oklahoma City. ESPN reported at half-time Haliburton was playing with calf tightness in his right leg, the same leg on which he injured his ankle in a previous contest.After the Pacers lost to fall behind 3-2 in the best-of-seven series, Indiana coach Rick Carlisle said of Haliburton, "He's not 100 per cent.
