O meio-campista, que estava no Arsenal, é o novo reforço do time rubro-negro e fez a sua estreia na equipe ainda na Copa do Mundo de Clubes
O Flamengo garantiu uma importante contratação para a sequência desta temporada. Em uma janela mais discreta nesta temporada, o clube já assinou com o volante Jorginho, que estava no Arsenal. O atleta, inclusive, integra o elenco que está nos Estados Unidos.
Mostrando a sua adaptação ao novo time, o jogador concedeu uma entrevista coletiva na tarde desta quarta-feira (18). Em meio à preparação para o confronto contra o Chelsea, o atleta ainda contou uma história inesperada envolvendo Zico.
No final da entrevista, Jorginho revelou que pediu para tirar uma foto com o maior ídolo da história do Flamengo – que também está sendo o embaixador do Rubro-Negro na Copa do Mundo de Clubes. O volante destacou um episódio engraçado.
“O Zico estava ali almoçando, não queria incomodar. O pessoal já tinha saído da mesa, falei: “Vou pedir para tirar uma foto com o Zico, tá maluco? A lenda”. Família toda fanática e fã. Pedi, ele foi super simpático. Tiramos a foto, nem acreditei…”, começou o jogador do Flamengo.
“Aí o filho dele levantou e pediu para tirar uma foto comigo. Eu abracei ele e abracei o Zico também… Aí ele falou pro Zico: ‘Não, tu sai’. Como assim? O Zico sair da foto? Não é possível que isso está acontecendo”, completou ele, aos risos.
Jorginho foi sincero sobre a sua estreia
O ítalo-brasileiro fez a sua estreia pelo Mais Querido no confronto contra o Esperánce de Tunis, da Tunísia, em confronto da primeira rodada da Copa do Mundo de Clubes. Após a partida, Jorginho foi sincero sobre a sua primeira atuação pelo Flamengo.
“Realmente, a estreia foi diferente, não sendo no Maracanã. Esse gostinho ainda não tive, estou louco para viver isso. Acredito que foi uma estreia muito boa de toda a equipe. Os torcedores do Flamengo, como sempre, muito presentes”, comentou.
“Deu para sentir já o gostinho. A minha adaptação foi facilitada pelo fato de o grupo já vir trabalhando e ter uma direção certa, com as ideias do treinador, e a recepção dos companheiros foi algo que facilitou bastante. Estou muito contente”, completou Jorginho, que foi aprovado por Tostão.
