So aufregend war es dann aber nicht. Und auch (noch) nicht besonders königlich. Gegen Saudi-Klub Al-Hilal rumpelte sich Real bei der Klub-WM zu einem mageren 1:1.
Dabei dürfte dem Ex-Coach von Bayer Leverkusen der dürftige Auftritt seiner Elf überhaupt nicht gefallen haben. Denn Real ist gegen den Außenseiter offensiv vor allem in der ersten Hälfte völlig mut- und ideenlos.

Alonso feiert das Tor an der Seitenlinie, ballt beide Fäuste und klatscht mehrfach. Auch sonst zeigt er sich am Spielfeldrand sehr aktiv, gestikuliert wild und treibt seine Stars 32 Tage nach seinem letzten Leverkusen-Spiel (2:2 in Mainz) nach vorne.
Kurz darauf der Schock für Alonso: Einen strittigen Elfer verwandelt Ruben Neves cool zum 1:1 (41.) für die von Coach Simone Inzaghi (49) trainierten Saudis.
In der Nachspielzeit pariert Bono noch einen Video-Elfer von Valverde (90.+2), bringt Alonso so bei seiner Real-Premiere um den Sieg.
