Treinador do Verdão indica que alguns fatores como calendário apertado, falta de descanso aos jogadores e maus gramados atrapalham no Brasil
O futebol brasileiro demonstrou para muitos que a diferença para os europeus não é tão grande atualmente como se pensava com as boas exibições de Palmeiras e Fluminense contra Porto e Borussia Dortmund, respectivamente, na primeira rodada da Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa. Para o técnico Abel Ferreira, a diferença entre o futebol dos dois lados do planeta é mínima e pode ser explicada.
Em entrevista coletiva no MetLife Stadium, local do duelo de amanhã (19) com o Al Ahly-EGI, pela segunda rodada do Grupo A, o treinador do Verdão foi questionado sobre os bons desempenhos dos times brasileiros na competição internacional quando desafiados por times da Europa e destacou que no Brasil alguns fatores prejudicam demais o futebol local.
“Quando nós damos condições para que os treinadores trabalhem, para que os times descansem, para que gramados sejam bons, o jogo fica competitivo e dinâmico. E aquela imagem que eu tinha do futebol brasileiro (lento) vai por água abaixo, a diferença é mínima, é competir. Vamos competir, e temos tempo para nos preparar cada vez mais”, iniciou.
“Para nós fica muito claro que o Brasileirão é muito competitivo quando damos condições a clubes, jogadores e treinadores para preparar as equipes. A sensação do europeu é de que o futebol brasileiro é lento, mas há justificativa: calendário, gramados, pouco tempo de recuperação… chegamos a fazer três jogos seguidos de dois em dois dias”, apontou Abel como grandes mazelas do futebol no Brasil.
Síndrome do vira-latas
Abel Ferreira ainda destacou o fator psicológico que tem tentando mudar em alguns jogadores do futebol brasileiro para a disputa do Mundial: a chamada “síndrome do vira-latas”, cunhada pelo escritor Nelson Rodrigues, na década de 1950. “No Brasil é bom entender que a diferença está no nosso pensamento, no que acredito. Se acreditar que sou inferior aos outros, vou ser mesmo. Se acredito que com trabalho posso organizar, não tem nada a ver com a nacionalidade.”
Orgulho por trabalhar no Palmeiras e no Brasil
Por fim, o treinador do Palmeiras falou diversas vezes na coletiva do orgulho que sente em defender o time alviverde e de trabalhar no futebol brasileiro. Segundo ele, diversas propostas de outras equipes surgiram ao longo dos quase cinco anos trabalhando no país sul-americano, mas ele permaneceu porque quis e porque gosta do país.
“Não vi nenhuma equipe brasileira sem intensidade porque aqui temos tempo para preparar. Fico orgulhoso por trabalhar no Brasil. Falam que é lento, mas vamos ver se é lento quando jogarmos contra os outros e tivermos as mesmas condições. Fico contente por isso e por ter decidido continuar no Brasil”, finalizou Abel.
