Max Verstappen atingiu outra marca individual na Fórmula 1 (F1) após ficar em segundo lugar no Grande Prêmio do Canadá, neste domingo (15). O holandês se tornou o segundo piloto com mais pódios por uma só escuderia. Ele chegou a 117 pódios pela Red Bull e ultrapassou Michael Schumacher, ex-piloto que competiu pela Ferrari, de 1996 até 2006. Lewis Hamilton é o recordista. O britânico tem 153 pódios pela Mercedes. O levantamento é do site Motorsport.
“Foi uma corrida muito boa, embora eu ache que, nos dois trechos iniciais, tivemos muita dificuldade com os pneus. Estávamos usando uma estratégia muito agressiva. Felizmente conseguimos nos manter firmes. Acho que fizemos uma corrida estratégia. Deu certo para nós. (O segundo lugar) foi o máximo possível”, declarou.

O holandês chegou aos 155 pontos e se firmou na terceira posição do campeonato entre pilotos. O líder é Oscar Piastri. O piloto da McLaren tem 198 pontos e é sucedido pelo companheiro de equipe, Lando Norris, que tem 176. Verstappen acredita no título.
“É uma temporada longa. Então é preciso analisar corrida por corrida. Sempre faremos o melhor que pudermos”, disse.
O chefe da equipe taurina, Christian Horner, elogiou o piloto. “Eu achei que ele esteve impecável o fim de semana todo. Fez uma corrida muito boa. Acho que foi uma corrida sólida para nós”, analisou.
Próxima corrida de Fórmula 1
O GP da Áustria é a próxima etapa da categoria. O evento está marcado para ocorrer nos dias 27, 28 e 29 de junho. O calendário é dividido em três sessões de treino livre (TL), uma sessão de treino classificatório e a corrida.
O TL1 está marcado para ocorrer às 8h30 (horário de Brasília) do dia 27, sucedido pelo TL2 que inicia às 12h do mesmo dia. O TL3 está previsto para 7h30 do dia 28. A qualificação será às 11h do dia 28. E a corrida está marcada para 10h do dia 29.
“(O GP da Áustria) É sempre um ótimo fim de semana. Tivemos resultados excelentes. Espero que possamos ter outro fim de semana forte”, concluiu Verstappen.
