Doch nun soll es für den Klub, der vor nicht allzu langer Zeit sogar an den europäischen Startplätzen schnupperte, wieder nach oben gehen.
Zum einen der Neuzugänge wegen. Mit Adam Lönn (33, Pays d’Aix) und Tomas Piroch (25, Wisla Plock) kommen zwei für Rückraum und Abwehr. Sportdirektor Bastian Roscheck: „Ich glaube generell, dass wir mit den beiden viel Qualität in der Abwehr bekommen.“ Dahinter steht mit Tomas Mrkva (36, Kiel) auch ein weiterer erfahrener Torwart bereit.

Roscheck freut sich aber nicht nur über rein sportliche Qualität: „Wir sind auch davon überzeugt, dass sie Mentalität reinbringen. Wir haben Krieger geholt, in die wir Vertrauen haben. Sie werden schnell in der Kabine eine hohe Akzeptanz genießen – nicht weil sie außergewöhnlich laut sind, sondern weil sie die richtige Einstellung mitbringen. Wir müssen nächste Saison gerade in den Heimspielen zeigen, dass es eine Mannschaft ist, die sich für den Verein zerreißt. Und mit dem Kader sind wir da auf einem guten Weg.“
Wobei der auch noch nicht komplett ist. Zumindest wird noch ein weiterer Rechtshänder für den Rückraum gesucht. Dabei soll Interesse an Viktor Ahlstrand (28, Hammarby IF) bestehen.

Der ebenfalls angefragte Stefan Kneer, Trainer von TV Hüttenberg und gerade zum Zweitliga-Trainer der Saison gekürt, steht nach SPORTBILD-Informationen ebenfalls nicht zur Verfügung.
Geschäftsführer Karsten Günther: „Wir haben ein Profil erarbeitet, das wir drüber legen. Und dann kristallisieren sich diverse Kandidaten heraus. Ich möchte bewusst keine Namen kommentieren. Wir beschäftigen uns mit verschiedenen Optionen.“
