Sormani voltou a colocar o Corinthians como candidato ao título do Campeonato Brasileiro 2025. O Timão estreou com empate em 1×1, fora de casa, com o Bahia. Campeão Estadual, Ramón Díaz surpreendeu com a escalação reserva.
Para Sormani, o favoritismo no Campeonato Brasileiro é de Flamengo e Internacional. O comentarista não colocou o Palmeiras na briga para a temporada. Entretanto, acredita que a prioridade à Libertadores pode abrir brecha para “zebras” como o Corinthians.
“Eu acho que o Corinthians pode lutar pelo título do Brasileirão. Infelizmente o futebol brasileiro desvaloriza o Campeonato Brasileiro em prol da Libertadores. Aí aparece as chances. Se Flamengo e Internacional focarem na Libertadores, vai sobrar espaço”, afirmou Sormani.
Corinthians tem elenco para brigar por tudo?
Apesar dos elogios ao time e ao elenco do Timão, Sormani não vê a equipe com condição de disputar todos os títulos. Para o comentarista da Placar TV, o Corinthians pode ser campeão brasileiro, mas a Sul-Americana é apontada como “outro buraco”.
“Esse time do Corinthians é legal. Tem um elenco legal. Eu acho que dá para disputar o Campeonato Brasileiro para ser campeão. A Sul-Americana eu já vejo como um outro buraco”, analisou Sormani.
Favoritos tropeçam na estreia do Brasileirão
Dos times cotados como favoritos antes do Campeonato Brasileiro 2025 começar, todos eles não venceram na estreia. Os cinco times apontados com mais chances de título eram: Atlético-MG, Botafogo, Flamengo, Internacional e Palmeiras.
O Galo abriu o Campeonato Brasileiro sendo derrotado pelo Grêmio, em Porto Alegre, por 2×1. Curiosamente, os demais favoritos se enfrentaram. No Maracanã, o Flamengo ficou no empate em 1×1 com o Internacional. Os últimos dois campeões, Palmeiras e Botafogo, se enfrentaram no Allianz Parque e terminaram empatados sem gols.
