O torcedor do Corinthians tem se acostumado com notícias bem ruins fora dos gramados nos últimos anos envolvendo o clube e nesta quarta-feira (25) mais uma “bomba” estourou nas mãos da direitoria já que o atacante Memphis Depay notificou o clube por uma dívida de R$ 6,1 milhões referente a atrasos da premiação pela conquista do Paulistão deste ano e também nos direitos de imagem do atleta.
Nas redes sociais, a jornalista Ana Thaís Matos, da TV Globo, ironizou inicialmente a situação dizendo estar surpresa com os atrasos do Timão. Alertada por um internauta que Depay estava correto, pois a situação estava prevista no contrato, a comentarista concordou e explicou que estava muito claro que esses problemas aconteceriam mais cedo ou mais tarde na relação do clube com o atacante holandês.
“Sim, por isso não estou surpresa. O clube tem dívidas, era óbvio que só aumentaria”, escreveu Ana Thaís, em seu perfil no “X”. Devido ao montante devido pelo Corinthians, Depay ameaça não se reapresentar com o restante do elenco neste sábado (28), quando o grupo começa a espécie de inter-temporada para a sequência do Brasileirão e da Copa do Brasil.
Casagrande critica Corinthians e vê coincidência
Além de Ana Thaís, o ex-jogador Walter Casagrande também comentou a situação envolvendo Memphis Depay e dívidas do Corinthians. Para Casão, há uma clara coincidência de um suposto “desinteresse” do camisa 10 holandês com o início dos atrasos nos pagamentos prometidos, logo após o final do Campeonato Paulista deste ano.
“Deve, tem que pagar. Mas que o Memphis está desinteressado já faz um bom tempo de Corinthians, ele está. Isso é nítido dentro do campo, principalmente depois do Paulista. Fora de casa, se tiver como não ir, não vai. Fora de casa, quando vai, não pega na bola, não tem o mínimo esforço. Está muito nítido”, iniciou Casagrande.
“Essa dívida não é de hoje, né? Não é que ontem o Corinthians começou a dever R$ 6 milhões pra ele e aí ele resolveu não voltar. Essa dívida já existe e aí coincide com esse desinteresse dele dentro do campo. O Memphis Depay é um cara também que já está dividindo o foco dele com outras coisas — ele tem o estilo Neymar de vida”, complementou o ex-jogador.
Elenco volta a trabalhar neste sábado
Depois de um período de férias neste mês, o elenco do Corinthians volta ao batente neste sábado (28) para iniciar a preparação para o restante da temporada 2025. O primeiro compromisso do clube na volta dos jogos após o Mundial de Clubes da Fifa será contra o Red Bull Bragantino no dia 13 de julho, na Neo Química Arena, pela 13ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro.
