Arch Manning, a third-year quarterback who has appeared in 12 games with two starts for the Texas Longhorns (2-0 as a starter), wants to make history with one of the best football programs in the nation.

An All-America and four-time all-state honoree in high school, the 6’4, 225-pound signal-caller arrived at Texas as the consensus No. 1 recruit in the country and immediately caused a buzz.
After a redshirt year apprenticing behind star Quinn Ewers – who was drafted by the Miami Dolphins -, Manning‘s sophomore campaign provided glimpses of his potential. On september 2024, he entered the game in the second quarter vs. UTSA for an injured Ewers. Arch completed 9-of-12 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns, including a 67-yard rushing TD, becoming the fifth SEC freshman quarterback in the last 15 years to have a 65+ yard TD run.

Arch reveals that he’s tired of getting advice from his dad
Ahead of the Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana., Arch Manning and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier got together to film a commercial as part of an NIL deal with the chain Raising Cane’s. The ad also features the Longhorns’ quarterback father – Cooper -, and his famous grandfather, Archie Manning.
The final product dropped Friday night on social media. It’s Arch’s latest NIL venture, who has a $6.8 million On3 NIL Valuation. In the commercial, Archie drives Arch, Nussmeier and Raising Cane‘s founder Todd Graves to the restaurant for lunch.
Cooper is working the drive-thru, and the ad also pokes fun at the fact Nussmeier’s father, Doug, is now the New Orleans Saints‘ offensive coordinator. “Excited to get a break for lunch with you, that’s a lot of family time at the Manning passing academy,” Arch tells his grandfather. “Were Peyton and Eli giving you too much advice?” Archie replied. “I wish, dad is killing me. He will not leave me alone,” the youngster answered.
Texas looks to reshape the offensive line
One of the biggest questions for Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian to answer going into the 2025 regular season is how he’s going to reshape the offensive line, which is going to have new look to it with four starters from last season moving on to the NFL.
Kelvin Banks Jr., Cam Williams and Hayden Conner were selected in the 2025 NFL draft, while Jake Majors signed a free agent contract. The Longhorns’ offensive line was a finalist for the 2024 Joe Moore Award and helped pave the way for one of the most prolific offenses in the country.
This year’s unit has the chance to do the same, and when Sarkisian spoke to reporters during spring practices in March, he said a couple of players really stood out. The Texas head coach said he’s looking for “steady growth,” and the head coach is hoping the very best of that grow can be presented at the matchup with defending national champions Ohio State for the season opener.
