Nesta terça-feira (01), o Lyon encerrou o seu empréstimo com o Botafogo por Thiago Almada. O atacante argentino teve breve passagem no clube francês e oficialmente retornou ao clube carioca. No entanto, o retorno deve ser apenas burocrático, já que o jogador deve ser negociado com o Benfica ainda nesta janela de transferências.
Torcedores reagem a volta de Thiago Almada
Apesar da documentação do atacante argentino voltar ao Botafogo, o atleta não deve atuar no Nilton Santos nesta temporada. Thiago Almada é alvo de clubes europeus após passagem curta no clube francês que pertence a John Textor.
Entre os comentários dos torcedores nas redes sociais, um mostrou humor em uma comparação. A conta Bootfire escreveu: “O Almada é aquele lance rápido que você teve, curto, porém intenso, todo mundo dizia que vocês formavam um lindo casal, vocês nunca irão esquecer um do outro, porém ela quer conhecer o mundo e você não pode fazer nada além de aceitar isso. Brutal. Eu ainda te amo Almadinha”.
Parte da torcida se mostrou irritada com a baixa possibilidade de uma volta ao Nilton Santos. Portanto, outra conta chamada Botafogomemes saiu em defesa do jogador: “A moda agora é a torcida forçar como se o Almada quase odiasse o Botafogo, sendo que ele sempre demonstra ter um carinho pelo clube (…) Acontece que estamos falando de um jogador jovem, titular da seleção argentina e que OBVIAMENTE quer Europa”.
Futuro de Almada
Segundo o jornal O Globo, mesmo com a volta de Almada ao Botafogo na teoria, o atleta não deve atuar pelo clube. O atacante estaria bastante valorizado na Europa e deve permanecer em busca de uma alternativa. Ao que tudo indica, o Benfica teria oferecido 50 milhões de euros (aproximadamente R$ 360 milhões) pela sua contratação.
Em 2024, Botafogo contou com Almada no elenco durante um breve período de 6 meses. O argentino foi fundamental na conquista da Libertadores e do Brasileirão, marcando 3 gols em 26 partidas. Em empréstimo pelo Lyon, o atacante atuou em 20 jogos, sendo 11 como titular, rendendo 2 gols e 4 assistências.
