Am heutigen Mittwoch startet die 14. Frauen-EM, die zum ersten Mal in der Schweiz stattfindet. BILD stimmt die deutschen Fußballfans mit 11 spannenden Fakten aufs Turnier ein.
1. Gastgeber Schweiz eröffnet NICHT die EM!
Kurios: Nicht der Gastgeber tritt im ersten Spiel an. Um 18 Uhr bestreiten Finnland und Island in Thun den Auftakt. Das eigentliche Eröffnungsspiel findet erst um 21 Uhr (ARD/DAZN) im ausverkauften Stadion in Basel statt: Schweiz gegen Norwegen. Hintergrund: Die Schweizer wollten ihre Nationalmannschaft zur besten Sendezeit spielen lassen. Allerdings erforderte der Spielplan am Eröffnungstag eine zweite Partie.
2. Auftakt gegen Barca-Star!
Am Freitag starten dann die DFB-Stars gegen Polen (21 Uhr) in die EM. Aufpassen muss unsere Verteidigung vor allem auf Barca-Star Ewa Pajor (28), die in der abgelaufenen Saison in 47 Pflichtspielen 43 Tore schoss. Bis zum letzten Sommer stürmte sie noch in Wolfsburg und wurde dort zweimalige Torschützenkönigin.

3. Spanien ist der Top-Favorit!
Zwar gewannen wir mit Abstand am häufigsten die EM (8-mal), bei den Wettanbietern ist aber Weltmeister Spanien der Top-Favorit. Die Quote liegt bei 2,7 (bei 1 Euro Einsatz), auf Platz 2 folgt der amtierende Europameister England (5), an drei kommen wir (5,5).
4. Wir spielen auch in roten Trikots!
Während das Heimtrikot unserer Frauen genau wie bei den Männer- und Juniorenteams das weiße Retro-Trikot zum 125-jährigen DFB-Jubiläum ist, wurde im Vorfeld ein ganz neues Auswärtstrikot für die Frauen entworfen. Es kommt mit Rot- und Rosatönen und auffälligen Grafiken daher. Diese Grafikelemente greifen den Vibe der lebendigen Streetart-Szene Deutschlands auf, womit dieses Trikot echten Urban-Style aufs Spielfeld bringt.

5. Es gibt einen neuen Zuschauer-Rekord!
Bereits vor Turnierstart wurden die Verkaufszahlen der letzten Ausgabe 2022 in England (knapp 575 000 Zuschauer) übertroffen. Uefa-Direktorin Frauenfußball Nadine Keßler sagt: „Schon jetzt sind 22 der 31 Spiele ausverkauft und es wurden 600 000 Tickets abgesetzt – und das ohne ein Auftaktspiel im Old Trafford oder ein Finale im Wembley-Stadion.“ Rekord auch: 35 Prozent der Karten sicherten sich Fans aus dem Ausland.
6. Keine deutsche Schiedsrichterin im Einsatz!
Zum ersten Mal seit 20 Jahren wird keine deutsche Schiedsrichterin bei einer Frauen-EM dabei sein. Stattdessen werden Katrin Rafalski und Christian Dingert als Videoassistenten (VAR) im Einsatz sein.

7. Rekord-Prämie!
Für den EM-Titel würden die deutschen Fußballerinnen vom DFB 120.000 Euro bekommen. So viel wie nie und doppelt so viel wie es bei der letzten EM gewesen wären. Für das Finale gäbe es 90.000, für das Halbfinale 65.000, für das Viertelfinale 45.000 Euro. Auch die Prämien der Uefa haben sich im Vergleich zur letzten EM deutlich erhöht – insgesamt von 16 auf 41 Mio. Euro.
8. Alle Spiele im Free-TV!
ARD und ZDF zeigen erstmals alle EM-Spiele im linearen Fernsehen. Bei den letzten Turnieren wurden einige Vorrundenpartien nicht gezeigt. Nun gibt es so viel Frauenfußball wie nie. Und: Eines der jeweils zwei Parallelspiele am letzten Gruppenspieltag werden im Internet-Stream ausgestrahlt. Expertin der ARD ist Ex-Nationaltorhüterin Almuth Schult (34), beim ZDF ist es die Schweizerin Kathrin Lehmann (45).

Alisha Lehmann (26) von Gastgeber Schweiz ist mit fast 17 Mio. Instagram-Followern die populärste Spielerin. Allerdings wird sie nur Ersatzspielerin sein. Weltfußballerin Aitana Bonmati (27) reiste wegen einer Hirnhautentzündung verspätet bei Spanien an, wird das erste Spiel verpassen. Ihre Teamkollegin Alexia Putellas (31) war ebenfalls zweimal Weltfußballerin. Ein weiterer Star ist die Engländerin Chloe Kelly (27) von Champions-League-Sieger FC Arsenal. Sie erzielte bei der EM 2023 das Final-Siegtor gegen Deutschland.

10. DFB-Achse mit Job-Sharing!
Die wichtigsten Spielerinnen bei uns sind Torhüterin Ann-Katrin Berger (34), Abwehr-Chefin Janina Minge (26), Mittelfeld-Motor Sjoeke Nüsken (24) und Mittelstürmerin Lea Schüller (27) mit Bayern-Kollegin Klara Bühl (24). Auf der Spielmacher-Position sollen sich Laura Freigang (27) und Linda Dallmann (30) die Spielzeiten teilen.
11. Diesmal kein Häkel-Maskottchen!
Zu den letzten beiden Turnieren häkelte DFB-Stürmerin Klara Bühl (24) teaminterne Maskottchen. Bei der WM 2023 war es Koala „Waru“, bei Olympia 2024 Otter „Ottienne“. Diesmal gibt es keine tierische Unterstützung. Bühl zu BILD: „Es gibt kein Maskottchen, das hat sich einfach nicht ergeben.“ Auch Häkeln ist bei der Mannschaft nicht mehr so angesagt.
