Die Rückkehr nach Italien ist offenbar perfekt.
Ciro Immobile (35) ist sich mit Serie-A-Klub US Bologna über einen Einjahresvertrag plus Option auf eine weitere Spielzeit einig. Das berichtet der italienische Transfer-Experte Fabrizio Romano.
Der frühere BVB-Spieler werde jetzt seinen bis 2026 laufenden Vertrag beim türkischen Verein Besiktas auflösen. Bei dem Istanbuler Traditions-Klub soll der Angreifer bisher rund 6,5 Millionen Euro pro Jahr verdient haben. Das Gehalt bei Bologna soll deutlich darunter liegen.

Bologna hatte sich Berichten zufolge auch um Ex-Bundesliga-Stürmer Edin Dzeko (39/früher u.a. Wolfsburg, Manchester City, AS Rom) bemüht. Der Bosnier soll sich allerdings für einen Wechsel nach Florenz entschieden haben.
Neben Ciro Immobile wird Bologna auch den 39-maligen italienischen Nationalspieler Federico Bernardeschi (31) verpflichten.
Immobile war 2024 für eine Ablösesumme in Höhe von zwei Millionen Euro von Lazio Rom in die SüperLig gewechselt, hatte in der abgelaufenen Saison in 41 Pflichtspielen 19 Treffer für Besiktas erzielt, vier weitere vorbereitet. Die Istanbuler wollen ihren Kader allerdings verjüngen, lassen den Stürmer deshalb ziehen.
[–>Die Fans des BVB erinnern sich an weit weniger Erfolgserlebnisse Immobiles im Trikot der Schwarz-Gelben. 2014 war er als Hoffnungsträger für 18,5 Millionen Euro vom FC Turin nach Dortmund gekommen, konnte die Erwartungen allerdings nie erfüllen, wurde in der Bundesliga nicht glücklich. In 24 Bundesliga-Einsätzen traf der Stürmer nur dreimal.
Nach nur einer Saison wurde er 2015 an den FC Sevilla ausgeliehen, im Januar 2016 wechselte er fix für elf Millionen Euro zum spanischen Erstligisten – der ihn zunächst direkt zum FC Turin weiterverlieh, bevor Immobile im Sommer 2016 zu Lazio Rom wechselte.
In der Serie A ist der Europameister von 2021 nach wie vor einer der besten Torjäger der Geschichte. Er wurde viermal Torschützenkönig (2014, 2018, 2020 und 2022). In 353 Spielen traf er 201-Mal – bislang. In Bologna dürften jetzt weitere Treffer hinzukommen.

Recently promoted Spanish league club Real Oviedo fired Serbian coach Veljko Paunovic on Thursday, with the team hovering just above the relegation zone.Paunovic steered Oviedo back to the topflight for the first time in 24 years last season, but the Mexican-owned club let him go after two wins and six losses this campaign.
