O Palmeiras se prepara para mais um compromisso difícil na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa. Agora, será a vez da equipe de Abel Ferreira entrar em campo diante do Chelsea, da Inglaterra, em um confronto que promete fortes emoções.
As duas equipes se enfrentam nesta sexta-feira (4), a partir das 22h (horário de Brasília). O confronto é válido pelas quartas de final. Em uma comparação com atacantes dos Blues, o comentarista Milton Mendes elogiou Paulinho.

Para Mendes, Paulinho é escolhido entre Drogba, Fernando Torres, Anelka e Cole Palmer. Ao ser questionado quem escolheria entre o jogador do Verdão e Hazard, o comentarista apontou: “O estilo dos dois é, mais ou menos, parecido”, disse ele, optando pelo brasileiro.
“Pedro Neto é um jogador interesse. Gosto também. Veloz… Mas eu continuo com o Paulinho”, cravou ele. Ao ouvir os nomes de Eto’o e Giroud, Milton Mendes mudou a rota e optou pelos dois atacantes do Chelsea.

Para enfrentar o Chelsea, o técnico Abel Ferreira terá alguns desfalques. O zagueiro Murilo está lesionado e fica de fora do confronto. A zaga ainda terá mais uma baixa, pois Gustavo Gómez cumpre suspensão automática.
Quem também não poderá atuar é o lateral-esquerdo Piquerez. Com isso, a tendência é que Vanderlan substitua o uruguaio. Enquanto isso, Micael e Bruno Fuchs devem formar a dupla de zaga pelo Palmeiras.
