Conhecido por ser marrento em algumas oportunidades, o camisa 3, após lance com Estêvão, sinalizou uma reprovação ao evitar o avanço ofensivo do futuro companheiro de equipe. Neste cenário, o locutor decidiu repreender o defensor dos Blues, que terá o papel de, em breve, marcar o brasileiro nos treinamentos do time londrino.
“Vai pra cima do Cucurella, a canhotinha é boa e ele tentou bater pro gol… o Cucurella não gostou, o que é isso, Cucurella? Tá vivendo onde? O que o Estêvão fez de diferente? Ele tentou driblar! Você deixou claro que gostaria que ele fosse para linha de fundo, e ele foi. É o Estêvão, vá se acostumando. Vai ter que marcar ele nos treinos daqui a pouco. Na sequência, ao deixar o lance de lado, Luis Roberto exaltou o papel que Cucurella exerce no Chelsea. Com ampla liberdade para atacar os espaços pelo lado esquerdo, o espanhol assume o papel de meio-campista para apoiar Cole Palmer, Delap e Nkunku, algo que também foi ressaltado por Junior.
“O Cucurella tem importância porque ele joga infiltrando, vira uma espécie de meia de construção.”, argumentou Luis Roberto. “O encaixe do meio-campo não está legal. Conhecido por sua serenidade, Caio Ribeiro mostrou insatisfação com Cucurella. Discordando da marcação do defensor com Estêvão, pautada em provocação para desestabilizar o brasileiro, o comentarista exigiu um cartão amarelo no final do primeiro tempo para conter o ímpeto do lateral-esquerdo.
