Si el curso pasado fue el ‘spanish’ Bayer Leverkusen el que triunfó en Alemania, esta vez el milagro le correspondió al Arminia Bielefeld de Daniel Jara Cortina… ¡de Tercera División!. El andaluz, segundo de a bordo en el histórico club alemán, celebró el pase a la final tras ganar 2-1 al Bayer Leverkusen de Xabi Alonso. Un hito histórico para alcanzar la primera final copera del ‘Die Blauen’.
Era un duelo de técnicos españoles en un Schüco Arena abarrotado, con casi 28.000 espectadores. Dani Jara, el segundo del Arminia Bielefeld, ante Xabi Alonso: un equipo de 3. Bundesliga ante el vigente campeón de la ‘Bundes’ y la DFB Pokal. Y el partido fue tremendo. De tú a tú.
El duelo inició con control del Leverkusen pero sin grandes ocasiones. Eso sí, golpearon primero: a los 17 minutos Tah remató al segundo palo un balón prolongado por Adli. Se durmió la zaga local. Pero la respuesta fue inmediata. Worl anotó el 1-1 con una buena definición aprovechando un desajuste defensivo del Leverkusen. La grada enloquecía.

Y lo haría aun más viendo el crecimiento de su equipo en el duelo. Sin complejos ante todo un Leverkusen. Perdonaron el 2-1en un mano a mano de Sarenren Bazee ante Hradecky… pero en el minuto 48, ya con el tiempo cumplido, encontraron premio: un golazo de Grosser atacando el segundo palo tras un centro brillante de Oppie. Frenesí en Bielefeld.
Pero si el primer tiempo tuvo mérito para el Arminia, el inicio del segundo fue impresionante. Los de Kniat y Dani Jara quitaron la pelota al Leverkusen y empezaron a gustarse. Eran superiores y fue un milagro que no encontraran el 3-1. Grodowski la tuvo clara pero su disparo desde dentro del área se fue besando el palo. Hradecky respiraba.
Eso sí, le tocó sufrir al equipo local: Kersken sacó una muy buena mano a cabezazo de Boniface y Schick se topó con el palo. Pero, para ser justos, el Arminia Bielefeld también pudo hacer el 3-1 al contragolpe. Supieron sufrir… y encontraron el premio gordo. Ganaron 2-1 y jugarán la final de Berlín ante el RB Leipzig o el Stuttgart.
