MVP-Kandidat Karim Jallow (28/Vertrag läuft aus) zieht es nach vier Jahren an der Donau zu Euroleague-Klub Virtus Bologna. Das bestätigten die Ulmer am Montag.

„Für mich zählt dieses große Kapitel am OrangeCampus zu einem der bedeutendsten in meiner Karriere“, wird Jallow in der Mitteilung zitiert. „Mit der Meisterschaft (2023) haben wir uns alle einen großen Lebenstraum erfüllt.“ Und weiter: „Dieser Klub, diese Arena und diese Fans sind für mich etwas ganz Besonderes. Was wir auf dieser Reise gemeinsam erlebt haben, bleibt für immer. Es erfüllt mich mit großem Stolz, ein Teil dieser Erfolgsgeschichte gewesen zu sein und viele Weggefährten Freunde nennen zu dürfen.“

Der athletische Flügel (1,98 Meter, 90 Kilo) hatte seine komplette Karriere in der Easycredit BBL verbracht (Bayern, Ludwigsburg, Braunschweig, Ulm). Aber spätestens mit seinen überragenden Auftritten in der Final-Serie gegen den FC Bayern hatte sich Jallow in den Fokus ausländischer Klubs gespielt. Vergangene Woche berichtete dann das Portal „Sportando“ als Erstes vom Interesse des italienischen Meisters.

[–>Jallow bekam in Bologna einen „mehrjährigen“ Vertrag und spielt dort künftig an der Seite von Ex-Bayern-Star Carsen Edwards (27), der vergangene Woche überraschend ebenfalls dort unterschrieb.

Finanziell dürfte Jallow sein Gehalt durch den Deal deutlich steigern. Und auch sportlich könnte es auf jeden Fall passen! Denn der Nationalspieler passt – anders als Edwards – perfekt zum schnellen Umschalt-Spiel von Knallhart-Trainer Dusko Ivanovic (67), der auf Disziplin, Defensive und Struktur setzt.

Ulm-Boss Dr. Thomas Stoll (57): „Es ist immer sehr traurig, wenn jemand wie Karim geht. Wir haben so viel zusammen erlebt. Höhen wie Tiefen. Natürlich mit der sensationellen Meisterschaft als absolutem Höhepunkt. Aber genauso freut es mich für Karim. Er hat sich einen Platz in der Euroleague mehr als verdient und so hart es für uns ist – genauso freut es mich für ihn.“

Doch mit Jallow ist der Aderlass in Ulm offenbar noch nicht beendet. Laut Transfer-Insider Ruper Fabig („Hamburger Abendblatt“) wird auch der brasilianische Center Marcio Santos (22) zu einem Euroleague-Team wechseln. Zuvor waren die Supertalente Noa Essengue (18/Chicago Bulls) und Ben Saraf (19/Brooklyn Nets) von NBA-Klubs gedrafted worden.

Königlicher Krämer

Lange hielt sich das Gerücht, Bologna bastele an einer Rückhol-Aktion für Gabriele Procida (23). Der Vertrag des einstigen Top-Talents bei Alba ist ausgelaufen. Nach dem Rückzug der Berliner aus der Euroleague gilt der siebte Abgang des Sommers als beschlossen. Doch laut italienischer Medien hat Procida nun das Angebot von Virtus ausgeschlagen – und wird zu Real Madrid wechseln!

Kein Gerücht mehr, sondern offiziell bestätigt ist dagegen der Transfer von Weltmeister David Krämer (28) zu den „Königlichen“.

Der Shooting Guard nutzt eine Ausstiegsklausel bei seinem bisherigen Klub La Laguna Teneriffa und unterschrieb beim Rekordmeister der europäischen Top-Liga ACB einen Ein-Jahres-Vertrag.

Bonga bleibt in Belgrad

Nicht nach Spanien geht dagegen Weltmeister Isaac Bonga (25). Nach der Meisterschaft mit dem serbischen Traditionsklub Partizan Belgrad waren Gerüchte aufgetaucht, der ehemalige Bayern-Profi stünde vor einem Wechsel nach Valencia. Laut griechischer Medien hieß es damals, der Euroleague-Rückkehrer sei sogar bereit gewesen, für Bonga eine Ablöse von 600.000 Euro zu zahlen.

Doch das war möglicherweise eine Finte seines Agenten, um Bongas Gehalt hochzutreiben …

Bonga hat seinen Vertrag bei Partizan inzwischen vorzeitig bis 2027 verlängert. Mit der neuen Unterschrift dürfte er nun auch mit seinem Salär in Belgrad die Millionen-Grenze geknackt haben.

Wird Lo in Kaunas froh?

Noch ein weiterer Weltmeister steht vor einer neuen Unterschrift: Maodo Lo (32). Nach dem Double mit Paris hat der Berliner seinen Abschied aus der französischen Hauptstadt verkündet. Interesse an seinen Diensten gibt es nun laut litauischer Medien bei Kult-Klub Zalgiris Kaunas. Dort wäre Lo, wie schon zuvor in Paris, allerdings nur Point Guard Nummer zwei hinter dem Ex-Bayern Silvain Francisco (27/Frankreich).
