As the Las Vegas Raiders get ready for a big 2025 NFL year, a new factor is changing the team from the inside. It is not about a new player or the signing of a new coach, but a famous quarterback turning part owner of the franchise, the one and only, Tom Brady.
Sports commentator Kay Adams, who leads Up & Adams on FanDuel TV, thinks Brady’s strong will to win might shape the team’s path into their desire of glory. On a recent episode, Adams spoke of Brady’s deep love for victory, which still burns strong, and his role with the Raiders is deeper than most know.

He is so relentlessly competitive. You can’t tell me that we aren’t maybe underestimating or underappreciating the Brady effect on the Raiders.
Fresh leadership at the wheel
Brady became a minority owner of the Raiders in 2023, and has been upping his work off the field. While not in a big office role, many reports show hes big in making key choices, like bringing in coach Pete Carroll and GM John Spytek this year.
Brady’s obsession of winning, shaped over 23 years with seven Super Bowl wins and many playoff victories, is now at work in team management. Adams points out his drive for wins might change how the team works as a whole, from how players perform to how the top directors make their choices.
Changing the team culture
For a team with ups and downs and shaky lead, Brady’s magic touch might change important things. The Raiders have not won a playoff game since 2002, and their routine of often changing coaches and big bosses left the team unclear. Brady, Adams hinted, might bring clearness, discipline, and a winning mindset.
He’s not there to lose. If he sees something broken, he’s going to fix it.
Those near the team say Brady has helped pick players and build team spirit. His bond to the team, not just as an inverstor, but as a football icon who knows how to win, might give a mind edge in the tough AFC West.
Will other owners take notes?
Brady is not the first player to turn owner, but his example is different. He skips just for-show roles. Insiders say Brady talks a lot with team leaders and will be seen at training and games this fall.
