Felipe Melo, ao falar de Saúl Ñíguez, alertou os torcedores do Flamengo. Fora dos planos do Atlético de Madrid, o espanhol deixou o clube em que teve ótimos momentos e, mesmo com opções na Europa, decidiu se juntar ao elenco de Filipe Luís. Neste contexto, como o rendimento das últimas temporadas foi distante do auge no futebol espanhol, o ex-jogador quis ressaltar a necessidade de paciência com o encaixe envolvendo um estilo mais cadenciado e sem explosão física.
“É uma boa contratação do Flamengo. Só que o torcedor que não conhece, ele tem que entender que não é o atleta de uma década atrás. Ele pode fazer essa função do meio-campo com o De La Cruz lesionado, mas ele joga um pouco mais à frente. É um jogador com mais cadência e técnica de jogo.”, disse Felipe Melo, no “Seleção SporTV”.
“Eu não sei como ele está agora, não posso dizer. O jogador do Atlético de Madrid foi um jogadorzaço, jogou no Chelsea… tem muita experiência, mas o torcedor tem que entender. Calma. É muito bom jogador e pode se destacar, mas existe o processo. Não é o jogador de 10 anos atrás.”, acrescentou.
Felipe Melo ressalta passagem no Sevilla
Emprestado pelo Atlético de Madrid, Saúl não alcançou um protagonismo notável no Sevilla. Porém, como não existia uma frequência de posse de bola, o futebol do meio-campista sofreu um impacto negativo. Agora, presente em uma das principais equipes da América do Sul, Filipe Luís será capaz de extrair o máximo do novo reforço do Flamengo.
“Tem uma coisa também. No Sevilla, ele fez um campeonato pífio. O Sevilla tinha pouca posse de bola, muitas vezes o empate era vitória. Agora é um time que é protagonista e que vai dar aquilo que ele gosta: bola no pé. Eu acho que ele vai correr muito menos sem a bola do que correu no Sevilla.”, prosseguiu.

Após a saída de Everton Ribeiro, o plantel do Flamengo ficou carente de um meia-atacante capaz de flutuar pelos lados do setor ofensivo. Levando em conta que Gerson foi escalado na posição, o desligamento do ‘Coringa’, vendido ao Zenit, motivou a busca por Saúl, que chega para aumentar o leque de opções em campo.
“Conversando com o Boto, no começo do ano, ele comentou que achava o elenco do Flamengo com jogadores de lado muito parecidos. Faltava, com a saída do Everton Ribeiro, um meia pelos lados. Pode ser o Saúl. Um jogador diferente dos que o Flamengo tem. Um meia como o Gerson, que vinha jogando.”, externou Rizek.
