Dafür sind bereits Top-Stars gekommen, Leroy Sané (29) vom FC Bayern (ablösefrei), Victor Osimhen (26) von der SSC Neapel (75-Mio-Deal kurz vor Abschluss), Ismail Jakobs (25) von der AS Monaco (für 8 Mio. Im Gespräch mit Sky spricht Galatasaray-Trainer Okan Buruk über die Ziele des Klubs, sagt: „Galatasaray ist der größte Klub in der Türkei. Der Klub steht auch für internationalen Erfolg. Zu meiner Spielerzeit haben wir zwei internationale Titel gewonnen. Daran wollen wir anknüpfen. Die Galatasaray-Fans träumen von weiteren internationalen Titeln. Das ist auch unser Ziel.“

[–>Buruk verrät auch, wie man Sané, der bei „Gala“ in den nächsten drei Jahren neun Millionen Euro netto pro Saison erhalten soll, von einem Wechsel überzeugte: „Ich war von Anfang an in den Gesprächen dabei. Wir haben Video-Calls gemacht, ich habe ihn immer wieder angerufen, um auch die Stimmung einzufangen. Auch mit unserem Vize-Präsidenten Abdullah Kavukcu wurden da sehr gute Gespräche geführt. Es war ein Traum der Galatasaray-Fans, einen Spieler wie Leroy Sané zu holen. Es war auch unser Traum, ihn zu bekommen, weil er einfach ein unglaublicher Spieler ist. Er hat unheimliche Fähigkeiten.“

Und weiter: „Ausschlaggebend für den Wechsel war aus meiner Sicht, dass er mit Bayern zweimal gegen uns gespielt hat – einmal in Istanbul, einmal in München. Die Atmosphäre in Istanbul war gigantisch, das hat ihn gepackt. Auch die Herangehensweise, wie wir das Spiel gespielt haben, hat ihn noch einmal überzeugt. Jetzt gilt es, ihn so schnell wie möglich an die Mannschaft heranzuführen. Schön ist auch, dass sich hier der türkische Meister und der Deutsche Meister zusammengefunden haben.“
