Das lange Warten hat ein Ende! In der ersten Augustwoche ist der Sommerurlaub bei zahlreichen Klubs der Easycredit Basketball Bundesliga vorbei. Und nach und nach fliegen die Profis aus Übersee ein.

Die Fans werden sich (wie jedes Jahr) an zahlreiche neue Namen und neue Stars gewöhnen müssen. Stand jetzt haben die 18 Teams schon 108 Spieler verpflichtet – und weitere werden folgen. Denn noch längst nicht alle Kader sind vollständig.

Die meisten Neuen (10) haben die Niners Chemnitz und Fit/One Würzburg Baskets geholt. Nach dem ersten sportlichen Rückschritt hat Trainer Rodrigo Pastore (52) für die Premieren-Saison im EuroCup nun auf dem Papier den stärksten Kader seit dem Aufstieg im Jahr 2020 zusammen.

[–>Die wenigsten Zugänge (2) hat bislang Aufseiger VET-Concept Gladiators Trier zu verzeichnen. Dicht gefolgt vom FC Bayern Basketball (4) und Alba Berlin (je 3), doch die beiden Zugpferde werden in den kommenden Wochen noch nachlegen.

Würzburg musste mit zwölf Abgängen den größten Aderlass wegstecken – der Fluch der erneut starken Saison! Alba (9) hingegen hat nach dem schlechtesten Resultat seit Jahren seinerseits kräftig ausgemistet. Bemerkenswert dagegen Heidelberg: Der Überraschungs-Halbfinalist konnte gegen den Trend fast alle Leistungsträger halten und gab nur drei Profis ab.
