As speculation swirled around Micah Parsons’ future with the Dallas Cowboys, the All-Pro linebacker’s brother stepped in to ease concerns.
On Monday, Terrence Parsons posted a message on X that directly addressed the growing chatter about contract talks slowing down between Parsons and the team.

“Jerry know wassup yall gotta relax and let it play out Jerry dead ass loves Micah he not going nowhere,” Terrence wrote, pairing his message with a video clip of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones speaking glowingly about the 25-year-old defender.
In the shared clip, Jones offered high praise for Parsons, comparing his skillset to some of the most legendary players ever to wear a Cowboys uniform.
“I think Micah is as talented, maybe the most talented player we’ve had. Deion of course had extraordinary talent. But Micah is very talented and he’s very smart,” Jones said.
Tension over stalled negotiations
The reassurance from Parsons‘ brother comes after Micah himself expressed frustration in recent interviews about the lack of progress on a long-term extension.
The two-time All-Pro is entering the fourth year of his rookie deal, with the Cowboys expected to pick up his fifth-year option while negotiating what is likely to be a record-setting contract for a defensive player.
Parsons has quickly become the cornerstone of Dallas’ defense, earning comparisons to Hall of Famer Deion Sanders for his game-changing ability and versatility.
The linebacker has made it clear that he wants to stay in Dallas but has also been vocal about wanting the franchise to “match energy” when it comes to his value on the field.
Family weighs in
Terrence Parsons’ public message reflects what many around the team believe: that Jerry Jones sees Micah as a franchise-defining player and intends to secure him long-term.
By invoking Jones’ past comments, Terrence aimed to remind fans that the Cowboys owner rarely lets talent of this magnitude slip away.
For now, the negotiations continue, but the tone coming from within the Parsons family suggests confidence that a deal will get done.
As Terrence’s post made clear, Cowboys Nation might not need to worry too much about seeing Micah Parsons in another jersey any time soon.
