Rodrigo de Paul debuta y gana sin entrenar con el Inter Miami de Messi

El Inter Miami derrotó 2-1 al Atlas mexicano en la Leagues Cup gracias a un gol en el último suspiro inicialmente anulado de Marcelo Weigandt, en un partido que marcó el debut del argentino Rodrigo de Paul.

“Estoy muy feliz en el club, ojalá sea la primera victoria de muchas”, declaró el ex del Atlético de Madrid tras su debut con el Inter Miami.

Rodrigo de Paul reconoció que esperaba jugar menos: “No sabía si iba a ser 90 minutos. Capaz pensé que iba a ser un poquito menos, pero creo que lo aguanté bien”.

De Paul llevaba más de un mes sin competir y no había completado ningún entrenamiento con Inter Miami antes del partido de hoy.

“Le tengo mucha fe a este equipo”, aseguró De Paul, que dijo que su objetivo es “ayudar” a Messi a “ganar títulos”.

“Messi es el mas grande de todos. Tengo la suerte de haber podido jugar tantos años con él en la selección, haber ganado muchas cosas y ahora compartir club. Es un orgullo para mí, para contárselo a mis hijos cuando sean mas grandes”, afirmó.

Inter Miami fue el primer equipo de la MLS en ganar un partido de la Leagues Cup en los 90 minutos, después de que los clubes mexicanos se adjudicaran 5 de los 6 encuentros jugado, mientras que el Montreal solo pudo imponerse en la tanda de penaltis en el restante.

Fue un encuentro con numerosas ocasiones, en el que De Paul, quien debutó sin haber completado ni un solo entrenamiento con sus nuevos compañeros y recién llegado de un mes de vacaciones, dejó muestras de su calidad y de la conexión que puede desarrollar con Sergio Busquets y Lionel Messi.

Una asociación entre Messi y De Paul generó la primera ocasión del partido en el minuto 15, con un centro del flamante fichaje del Inter que Tadeo Allende mandó por encima del larguero.

Tuvo otra Allende minutos después tras una gran asistencia de Messi que detuvo el guardameta colombiano Camilo Vargas.

Tres minutos después, Rocco Ríos respondió con una atajada providencial para desviar un cabezazo a quemarropa de Eduardo Aguirre.

Ambos equipos se marcharon al descanso con el marcador en cero, aunque dispusieron de sendas ocasiones en los últimos instantes. Primero, Arturo González lo intentó con un disparo suave que atrapó Ríos sin dificultades.

Para el Inter, una jugada iniciada por la banda derecha por Luis Suárez acabó en las botas de Messi, quien habilitó a Jordi Alba, que colgó de primeras un globo al área para que el uruguayo, solo ante Vargas y también al primer toque, mandara un cañonazo al larguero.

El mal sabor de boca no duró mucho para el Inter. En el minuto 60, Sergio Busquets cazó un rechace de la defensa del Atlas y filtró un pase entre líneas para dejar a Messi solo frente a Vargas. El rosarino, generoso, cedió el balón a Segovia, que empujó a placer el primer gol del partido.

El esfuerzo del Atlas por encontrar el empate obtuvo recompensa en el minuto 80. Un centro de Sergio Hernández fue mal rechazado por Maximiliano Falcón, dejando el balón suelto en el área para que Rivaldo Lozano lo cazara y estableciera el 1-1.

Javier Mascherano y Gonzalo Pineda -que se las tuvieron durante el encuentro- ya estaban preparando la lista de lanzadores para la tanda de penaltis cuando en la última jugada del partido el Inter encontró el 2-1 y se llevó los 3 puntos.

Fue en una triangulación en el minuto 96 entre Jordi Alba, Messi y Suárez.Messi, aprovechando una vez más la salida de Vargas, asistió esta vez a Marcelo Weigandt, que remató a placer.

El asistente levantó el banderín en primera instancia por fuera de juego, pero el VAR comprobó que Weigandt estaba por milímetros por detrás del balón. No hubo tiempo para más.
