Den ThSV Eisenach coachte er hoch in die Daikin Handball-Bundesliga. Hielt den Thüringen-Klub danach zwei Mal in der Liga, bis interne Unstimmigkeiten den gemeinsamen Weg trennten.
Jetzt ist Misha Kaufmann (41) Trainer des TVB Stuttgart, Danijel Grgic (48), den Vater von Nationalspieler Marko Grgic, nahm er als seinen Assistenten von Eisenach mit nach Stuttgart. Beim traditionellen S-Cup in Altensteig (nahe Calw in Baden-Württemberg) zeigte das „neue Stuttgart“ bereits klar die Handschrift des neuen Trainer-Duos.

Neuer Trainer lässt Handball-Klub staunen
Ex-Nationalspieler Kai Häfner (36/Europameister 2016, Olympia-Bronze 2016, Olympia-Silber 2024) ist schon zu Beginn der Vorbereitung begeistert. „Ich freue mich auf den neuen Input, sauge die neuen Dinge auf. Die Art und Weise, wie alles vermittelt wird, ist gewinnbringend und wirkt geradezu ansteckend“, sagte Häfner der Stuttgarter Zeitung. „Alles ist bisher sehr beeindruckend, sehr inspirierend. Alles hat Hand und Fuß.“
Kaufmann gibt das Lob am Rande des S-Cups an die ganze Mannschaft zurück. Der Schweizer: „Alle sind gut drauf, ziehen mit und hinterlassen einen starken Eindruck.“
Kaufmann ist für seine spezielle Handball-Philosophie bekannt, taktische Überraschungen jederzeit inklusive. Die nächste installiert er gerade beim TVB – mit seinem Landsmann Lenny Rubin (29).
[–>Rückraum-Lulatsch Rubin (2,07 Meter) agiert in der 5:1-Abwehr vorne auf der Spitze als „Abfangjäger“ vor der Fünfer-Defensivreihe. Dank seiner Größe und seiner Armspannweite könnte Rubin so zur jahrelang unentdeckten Geheimwaffe werden, weil er dem Gegner den Raum im Angriff nimmt.
Beim S-Cup in Altensteig sind dieses Jahr außer dem TVB Stuttgart und Gastgeber TSV Altensteig (Oberliga) auch die Bundesligisten Frisch Auf Göppingen, HC Erlangen, sowie Zweitligist HBW Balingen-Weilstetten, die SG Köndringen-Teningen (3. Liga), der BSV Bern (1. Liga Schweiz) und Mors-Thy Handbold (1. Liga Dänemark) dabei.
