2018 fand der spanische Supercup erstmals im Ausland statt. Damals gewann Barcelona in Tanger (Marokko) gegen Sevilla (2:1). Seit 2020 steigt der spanische Supercup in Saudi-Arabien.
Nun soll in der kommenden Saison sogar erstmals ein offizielles Liga-Spiel im Ausland, in der US-Metropole Miami stattfinden. Dabei handelt es sich um das Kracher-Duell zwischen Barcelona und Villarreal.

Die Partie am 17. Spieltags steigt voraussichtlich am 20. Dezember im Hard Rock Stadium. Es wäre die letzte Partie vor der Winterpause in der spanischen Liga.
Beide Klubs gehen inzwischen davon aus, dass sie sich dort begegnen, räumen laut der Spanien-Zeitung Marca bereits ihre Terminkalender für die Partie in Miami frei.
[–>Die finale Entscheidung liegt beim spanischen Verband. Doch eine Mehrheit gilt als wahrscheinlich. Denn auch Liga-Boss Javier Tebas ist dafür, ein Spiel in Übersee stattfinden zu lassen.
Am Montag wird der Vorstand des spanischen Fußballverbands RFEF das Thema in einer Sitzung behandeln.
Falls die Verlegung des Barça-Krachers genehmigt wird, müssen aber noch die nötigen Formalitäten eingeleitet und alle Details geklärt werden.
Auch mit den beiden Klubs muss sich der Verband einigen. Denn der Liga-Kracher in den USA könnte auch Auswirkungen auf den Spielplan haben.
Fakt ist: Superstar Lionel Messi (38/mittlerweile Inter Miami) dürfte sich über die Premiere freuen. Denn um ein Spiel seines Ex-Klubs zu sehen, muss er nicht nach Spanien reisen – Barça kommt zu ihm.
