In a chat woth media outlet USA Today, Sanders shared a strong scene: people living on nothing more than a single bag that carries all their belongings, but still living with dignity and resilience.

An important lesson on materialism
For Sanders, that little visit he paid, was a strong reminder of what is inside us can beat and be used as support during any bad times. Now, he is sharing this lesson in Boulder, gearing up for the new college football year his Buffaloes soldiers are waiting for.
As a Pro Football Hall of Famer and two-sport legend, ‘Coach Prime‘ does way more than playbooks and drills. He uses football as a platform to teach useful life skills, and like this example of the homelesses, he loves showing that mental strength is more important in daily life than owning things.
A true message beyond football
While Sanders told this to his team, the social weight it carried spreaded notably. Many American citizens in Los Angeles and other metropolitan places nationwide are not able to afford housing. Sanders‘ story helps us see that all the data collected represents people, not just numbers.
