Without Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever loses fan support and falls from first place in an important statistic

Caitlin Clark had a great start to the season with Indiana Fever, but injuries to her quadriceps and groin, which continue to persist, have caused her to miss several games. And many of those games ended in losses.

This has been the reason why, without CC and with the team stumbling, fans have stopped attending games much more than last year, according to a report.

Caitlin Clark showed her frustration by having a bench outburst during the Fever’s loss

Indiana loses top spot

Clark‘s successful rookie year quickly made her one of the visible faces of the WNBA and the team.

This translated into more fans wanting to see the Fever star in action, selling out tickets and setting attendance records.

In 2024, Indiana ranked first in fan attendance with an average of 17,035 fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

However, this year, the absence of fans in the stands has caused them to drop to second place, according to Across the Timeline. Currently, Fever has an average of 16,746 fans attending their home games this season.

And who took the top spot? The Golden State Valkyries, with an average home attendance of 18,064 fans.

Rounding out the top five are the New York Liberty with 16,399, the Los Angeles Sparks with 12,149, and the Seattle Storm with 11,541 fans.

Now, the Indiana Fever is preparing to improve its numbers and face the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena this Sunday, August 17, with Clark, Sydney Colson, and Aari McDonald out.

With an 18-16 record and falling from sixth to seventh place in the WNBA standings, the team will have to work hard to secure more important victories. And home support.

MLB playoffs 2025: Aaron Judge did his part, but the New York Yankees, once again, failed to win the World Series

NEW YORK — Statistically speaking, Aaron Judge had a nice day.In Game 4 of the ALDS, he went 2-for-4 with an intentional walk. Judge did not send one flying to the heavens — not every day is Christmas — but it was a productive trip to the office.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementYet he finished the evening in the same scattered fashion he has finished every year of his career. Disappointed, downtrodden, his eyes puffy and distant with the remnants of tears, his words low and tired. Once more, Judge’s Yankees did not win the World Series. MLB playoffs 2025: The Phillies won a must-win game. Did the Dodgers lose one, too?

LOS ANGELES — However this NLDS plays out — whether the Los Angeles Dodgers hold on or the Philadelphia Phillies stage the comeback of these playoffs — many will point to Kyle Schwarber's 455-foot home run that hurtled through the air and over the right-field pavilion of Dodger Stadium as the turning point.Phillies manager Rob Thomson certainly did after the game, telling reporters the blast "sort of woke everybody up and got a lot of energy going in the dugout."It was an enormous home run, yes, one that seemed to fully break the Phillies out of a malaise that had so far cost them two games in the series. However, Schwarber went on to hit a second, less numerically impressive homer, and that one might be just as important because it might as well have gone on the Game 4 […]
