Nach 90 Minuten steht es 0:0. In der Verlängerung macht Schalke richtig Druck. Doch Naumann hält überragend gegen Sylla (101.) und Lasme (105./Pfosten). Dann trifft Lasme per Flachschuss aber doch zum erlösenden 1:0 für Schalke (107.).

Köln verhindert die Blamage ganz spät – und holt sich durch einen Doppelschlag sensationell den Sieg in der Nachspielzeit!
Das Pflichtspieldebüt von Kölns Neu-Trainer Lukas Kwasniok (44) geht gerade so gut. Bauer (66.) knallt Drittligist Regensburg in Führung. Bundesliga-Aufsteiger Köln ist offensiv viel zu harmlos – schlägt aber doch noch zurück. Martel knallt den Ball zum 1:1 rein (90.+6). Und Johanesson (90.+8) erzielt tatsächlich noch den Siegtreffer für Köln. Ekstase beim FC, Frust beim Jahn.
Der FC bewältigt sein Regensburg-Trauma! Im Februar 2021 im Achtelfinale und im Juli 2022 in der 1. Runde schied Köln beim Jahn aus. Dieses Mal nicht!
Bremen (0:1 in Bielefeld) ist somit weiter der einzige Bundesligist, der bislang in dieser Saison aus dem Pokal ausgeschieden ist.
Delmenhorst – Gladbach 2:3
Gladbach wackelt beim Fünftligisten, zieht aber in die 2. Runde ein!
Hack bringt die Fohlen in der 1. Halbzeit zweimal in Führung (20./38.), doch Delmenhorst gleicht durch Rohwedder (32.) und Urban (40.) jeweils aus. Elvedi trifft in der 2. Halbzeit zum 3:2 für Gladbach (68.).
RSV Eintracht Stahnsdorf – Kaiserslautern 0:7
Die Pfälzer ziehen ganz locker in die 2. Runde ein – und präsentieren sich dabei extrem effektiv. Von den ersten fünf Torschüssen sind vier drin!
Kunze (11.), Emreli (15.), Kim (24.) und Hanslik (34.) sorgen vor der Pause für klare Verhältnisse. Ritter (48.), Raschel (71.) und Tachie (90.) schrauben das Ergebnis für Kaiserslautern in die Höhe. Fünftligist Stahnsdorf ist ohne Chance.
Übel: Ein Kaiserslautern-Spieler wird in der 56. Minute rassistisch beleidigt. Der Name ist nicht bekannt. Darauf folgt eine Durchsage im Stadion: „Jeder ist hier herzlich willkommen. Bitte verhaltet euch anständig.“

Die Badener lassen beim Regionalligisten Meuselwitz nichts anbrennen!
Schleusener trifft bereits nach 30 Sekunden zur Führung. Nach Rapps Distanzschuss rappelt es kurze Zeit später ein zweites Mal im Netz des Regionalligisten (12.). Kurz vor dem Halbzeitpfiff macht Schleusener den Deckel schon drauf (42.). Egloff (52.) nach üblem Torwart-Schnitzer und Kobald (56.) legen für Karlsruhe nach.
Blau-Weiß-Lohne – Fürth 0:2
Pflichtaufgabe erfüllt!
Fürth tut sich lange schwer, dann trifft Olesen aus kurzer Distanz zum 1:0 (58.). König erzielt per Kopf die Entscheidung für Fürth (84.). Viertligist Lohne bekommt zwei Platzverweise: Sabah (Gelb-Rot/83.) und Wengerowski (Rot/90.+3).

Hallescher FC – Augsburg 0:2
Sandro Wagner feiert ein holpriges Pflichtspiel-Debüt für den FC Augsburg, quält sich in der 1. Pokalrunde beim Halleschen FC zu einem 2:0 – und hat dabei etwas Glück!
52. Minute: Diagonalball in den Halle-Strafraum auf Fellhauer, der die Kugel wohl hinter der Torauslinie nochmal scharf macht. Mounie drückt die Kugel letztlich über die Linie – 1:0. Aufregung bei den Gastgebern, Co-Trainer Sascha Prüfer sieht Rot. Das Schiedsrichtergespann um Tobias Reichel lässt weiterlaufen. Zur Erinnerung: In den ersten beiden Pokalrunden gibt es keinen Videobeweis, erst ab dem Achtelfinale.
Der eingewechselte Essende macht in der Schlussphase den Sack zu (79.).
Und Wagner? Der ist an der Seitenlinie 90 Minuten lang aktiv, klatscht immer wieder in die Hände, muntert seine Spieler auch bei misslungenen Aktionen auf.
Bei Wagners Bundesliga-Debüt an der Seitenlinie in Freiburg (Samstag, 15.30 Uhr) müssen sich die bayerischen Schwaben auf jeden Fall steigern. Denn ein Klassenunterschied war gegen den Viertligisten nicht erkennbar.

Die Kieler scheinen in der neuen Saison angekommen zu sein.
Der Bundesliga-Absteiger setzt sich bei Regionalliga-Topteam FC Homburg durch, zieht dank des 2:0 in die 2. Runde ein. Neuzugang Tolkin (24.) und der eingewechselte Top-Stürmer Bernhardsson (90.+10) erzielten die Tore für die Störche – der 1. Pflichtspielsieg der Saison.
Schreck-Moment in der 2. Halbzeit: Holstein-Keeper Timon Weiner kriegt die Kugel voll ins Gesicht, wirkt benommen. Nach rund sechsminütiger Behandlung muss er ausgewechselt werden (68.).
SSV Ulm – SV Elversberg 0:1
Verdienter Sieg für die SVE, die mit dem 1:0 gegen den letztjährigen Ligakonkurrenten in die 2. Runde einzieht. Felix Keidel markiert den goldenen Treffer (73.) und beschert den Saarländern und Trainer Vincent Wagner den 2. Pflichtspielsieg der laufenden Spielzeit.
