There’s a new era at the quarterback position for the New York Giants, after the bittersweet taste left by Daniel Jones in his six years with the franchise. Fans got their hopes up with him every year, but only in 2022 did he deliver a good season, one that ended with a playoff win.

Jaxson Dart is already shopping for a $10 million penthouse after multimillion contract

After that moment, expectations grew. Jones was given a four-year, $160 million contract extension, but after two disastrous seasons, the Giants cut him. Now they’ve started a new process. On the roster, only Tommy Devito has experience with the team; the rest are new faces.

In free agency, the Giants signed Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson, and Head Coach Brian Daboll didn’t hesitate to name Wilson the starter-at least for Week 1, when New York visits the Washington Commanders in a divisional matchup.

NFL Network analyst is certain that Jaxson Dart will play a lot

The New York Giants rookie, Jaxson Dart, wasn’t considered a first-round quarterback by many, but the Giants even traded up in the Draft to take him with the 25th overall pick. Clearly, Brian Daboll saw something worth the risk.

Even though Daboll has confirmed Russell Wilson as the starting quarterback, Jaxson Dart has had a fantastic preseason, with standout games against the Bills and Jets. That’s why NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah believes we’ll see more of Dart than of Wilson this season.

“I really like the way that Jaxson Dart has looked and he looks very much in control. I’ve said since the Giants drafted him that we’re gonna see more of Jaxson Dart than Russell Wilson this season,” Daniel Jeremiah said on the Pat McAfee Show.

In both preseason games, Jaxson Dart has totaled 291 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and one rushing touchdown. So, at some point in the season, Daboll will have to put the rookie on the field.
