Jednoduše se podle Sport.pl dá říct, že pokud se Rusko dohodne s Ukrajinou a uzavřou mír, otevře se sportovcům cesta na vrcholové akce.
Podobná slova ze strany olympijského výboru nejsou úplně překvapivá. Bývalý předseda Thomas Bach měl k Rusku blízko. Současná šéfka Kirsty Coventryová se také v minulosti vyslovila pro návrat Rusů i Bělorusů na olympijské hry. Nejen ruská média proto do ní vkládají velké naděje.
Podle poslance Státní dumy Dmitrije Sviščeva je ale pozitivních signálů víc. „Proces návratu ruských sportovců do světového sportu je pomalý, ale postupuje,“ uvedl s tím, že se pravidelně objevují zprávy o tom, že ruští sportovci mohou soutěžit v další disciplíně.
Ještě před létem tak učinily Mezinárodní šermířská federace a Mezinárodní cyklistická unie v souvislosti s dráhovým mistrovstvím Evropy. „Nejsme spokojeni s tempem návratu, ale těší nás každý pokrok. Co nejrychlejší nastolení pořádku ve světě a příměří určitě přímo ovlivní návrat ruských sportovců,“ doplnil Sviščev.
Pozitivně se vyjádřil také ruský ministr sportu Michail Děgťarjov v rozhovoru pro Match TV: „Na 99 procent předpovídám, že ruský tým bude na příštích hrách s vlajkou a hymnou. Jedeme všichni do Los Angeles v roce 2028,“ řekl.
