Depois de quatro jogos de jejum na temporada, Kaio Jorge voltou a balançar as redes no empate do Cruzeiro contra o Mirassol em 1 a 1, pela 20ª rodada do Brasileirão. Com isso ele chegou a 14 gols marcados na competição, se isolando ainda mais na artilharia do torneio.
Em seguida, como vice-artilheiros aparecem Arrascaeta e Vegetti com 10 gols cada. O uruguaio esteve presente na vitória do Flamengo contra o Internacional, mas sem marcar, enquanto o argentino estava suspenso na goleada do Vasco contra o Santos no último fim de semana.
