Jogadores do Flamengo comemoram gol no Maracanã (Adriano Fontes/CRF)
Vampeta acredita que BAP, presidente do Flamengo, não exagerou ao estabelecer o Real Madrid como inspiração para o clube carioca. Após o acordo de patrocínio máster que vai garantir R$ 895 milhões até o fim de 2028, o ex-jogador prevê o domínio financeiro, algo também presente no Palmeiras, mantendo uma condição de superioridade.
Neste contexto, Vampeta vê margem para o Flamengo, atualmente com três títulos de Libertadores, ultrapassar o Independiente, que detém sete taças. Ressaltando que os argentinos estão longe dos dias gloriosos do passado, o comentarista sugere uma mudança no ranking consolidada em 2035.
“Eu não discordo dele. Lógico que tem que pensar sempre para o melhor. Todo mundo mira o Real Madrid porque tem um estádio super moderno e é um dos clubes que mais fatura no mundo. Financeiramente, Flamengo e Palmeiras estão nadando de braçada, o Flamengo mais ainda.”, disse o Velho Vamp, no “Bate-Pronto”, da Jovem Pan.
“A probabilidade de, em 10 ou 15 anos, é ter seis, sete ou oito títulos e ser o maior da América do Sul. Há possibilidade de clubes como o Flamengo empilhando títulos de Libertadores. Eu vejo essa possibilidade. Vamos botar em 2035 e olhar como vai estar. Há uma possibilidade de uma arrancada de títulos.”, acrescentou.
Ascensão do Flamengo
Antes de 2019, o Flamengo tinha apenas uma Libertadores na galera de troféus. Porém, como resultado do processo de organização, a equipe igualou o São Paulo e, em 2025, pode se tornar o primeiro tetracampeão brasileiro do torneio. Levando em conta os últimos reforços trazidos, Vampeta projeta um maior fortalecimento nos próximos anos.
“O Real Madrid tem 15 títulos europeus. Os últimos foram conquistados nos últimos 20 anos. O Flamengo tinha uma Libertadores na década de 80. O São Paulo nadava de braçada, mas o Flamengo é tricampeão também. Se organizou e ganhou uma coisa que o São Paulo nadava de braçada. Independiente e Boca estacionaram. Com dinheiro, pode trazer os melhores.”, prosseguiu.
Vampeta cita discrepância na América do Sul
Repleto de recursos financeiros, o Flamengo se dá ao luxo de contratar jogadores vindos da Europa e, fora dos gramados, planeja construir o próprio estádio. Diante do abismo envolvendo os clubes argentinos, avaliados como principal ameaça na Libertadores, Vampeta considera que o status de “Real Madrid das Américas” é bastante acessível.
“O Real Madrid tem o Barcelona como principal rival e o Atlético de Madrid. Tem rivais à altura na Europa que podem complicar o Real Madrid como o Bayern de Munique, PSG, clubes da Premier League e o Milan, Inter de Milão e Juventus, que estão tentando voltar. É diferente daqui na América do Sul. Dentro da América do Sul, eu não vou botar o continente todo porque a Concacaf tem sua competição.”, opinou.
“Dentro da América do Sul, eu não vejo times chilenos, bolivianos, paraguaios e uruguaios com esse poder de fogo. Se não for River Plate e Boca Juniors, os clubes argentinos vão com força da camisa e na garra, mas não financeiramente. Os maiores rivais do Flamengo são os clubes argentinos ou os brasileiros que estiverem bem estruturados.”, concluiu.
