Nesta sexta-feira (22), o CEO da SAF do Cruzeiro, Pedro Júnior, filho do dono, Pedro Lourenço, tranquilizou a torcida sobre uma possível saída de Leonardo Jardim. Em meio a rumores ligados ao Al-Jazira, dos Emirados Arábes Unidos, o dirigente afirmou que o clube mineiro está confiante na permanência do português.

Pedro Júnior garante que Leonardo Jardim fica

Após a imprensa divulgar a informação de que Leonardo Jardim está na mira do Al-Jazira, Pedro Júnior veio a público se manifestar. Assim, o CEO do Cruzeiro garantiu que o português está engajado no projeto do clube e não deve sair neste momento, até porque não existe nenhuma proposta oficial.

“O Cruzeiro não recebeu nenhuma proposta, nenhuma oferta pelo treinador, e a gente está muito tranquilo, muito convicto na permanência dele. É um treinador de alto gabarito, que abraçou o projeto do Cruzeiro, que entendeu como o clube vai se posicionar a partir desse momento, dessa nova gestão que vive”, cravou Pedro Júnior.

Além disso, Pedro Júnior aposta na relação amistosa que Leonardo Jardim desenvolveu com seu pai, Pedro Lourenço, dono da SAF do Cruzeiro. Assim, ele afirmou que a gestão do clube está confiante em sua permanência, e não há preocupação neste sentido.

“É um treinador que virou amigo pessoal do meu pai, do presidente. Então, a gente tem total confiança na permanência dele, e isso não nos preocupa”, revelou Pedro Júnior em entrevista concedida à Rádio Itatiaia nesta sexta-feira (22).

Sequência do Cruzeiro no Brasileirão

Com isso praticamente resolvido, Leonardo Jardim segue na preparação do Cruzeiro que vai enfrentar o Internacional no Mineirão, neste sábado (23). Assim, o clube busca voltar a vencer após dois tropeços, contra Santos e Mirassol.

Antes líder do Brasileirão, o Cruzeiro agora está em 3º lugar com 38 pontos, cinco abaixo do líder Flamengo, que vem em uma grande crescente. Assim, Leonardo Jardim tem a missão de tentar fazer o time retomar a ponta em algum momento.
