Como las familias bien avenidas se reúnen en Navidad para celebrar una unión armada con el mejor pegamento posible, la FEB y MARCA cumplieron su sexto año de relación que desemboca en la Gala del Baloncesto Español. Es la VI edición de muchas que habrá por delante. Y aunque la reunión sirve para premiar a los más destacados del año, en realidad demuestra que el término Familia, es el que mejor define al baloncesto español.
Por segundo año consecutivo, el Hipódromo de la Zarzuela de Madrid se convirtió en el lugar de reunión del básket español. Autoridades, premiados, patrocinadores y Medios de Comunicación se reunieron en torno al equipo que dentro de unos pocos días defenderán en el Eurobasket el oro europeo de 2022. Y en esa expedición estará SergioScariolo, uno de los protagonistas del acto por su despedida de la selección. Recibió uno de los premios especiales junto a las selecciones 3×3 masculina y femenina (los grandes descubirmientos de este año) y al exárbitro Antonio Conde.
Durante la Gala, magistralmente conducida por Marta Fernández y José Luis Allegue, hubo también galardones para Darío Brizuela, Juancho Hernangómez, Aina Ayuso, Maite Cazorla, Leonor Rodríguez, Santi Yusta, Sergio de Larrea e Iyana Martín, los mejores en sus respectivas categorías. Dieron brillo a una Gala que fue, una año más, inolvidable.
“Basket al galope”
El acto lo abrieron los discursos tanto de Elisa Aguilar, presidenta de la FEB, como de Juan Ignacio Gallardo, director de MARCA. Juan Ignacio Gallardo, aprovechando el marco en el que se celebraba el evento, utilizó un muy oportuno “el baloncesto español va al galope” para explicar la fabulosa salud en la que está el básket que depende de la FEB.
En su alocución, Gallardo hizo referencia a la propia FEB y a la selección masculina presente en un lugar de privilegio: “Hoy nos volvemos a juntar para festejar, ensalzar, alabar, elogiar y aplaudir a nuestro básket nacional. Inagotable fábrica de talentos, monumental acaparador de éxitos deportivos, ejemplo de ambición competitiva, modelo de gestión organizativa…”.
El director de MARCA aseguró que la palabra Familia es la que mejor resume estos años de éxitos de la FEB: “No podía haber un sobrenombre más apropiado, salvaguarda de lo entrañable, lo querido, lo íntimo, lo propio, lo apreciado. Ese es el verdadero triunfo. No los oros, las platas o los bronces”.
Elisa Aguilar se dirigió uno a uno a los premiados, elogiando lo conseguido y agradeció a MARCA la alianza para esta Gala anual. Y tuvo un mensaje especial para la selección: “Que sepáis que en los últimos dos años hemos crecido en licencias y es por culpa de vuestro compromiso, vuestra implicación y vuestro talento”.
