A possibilidade do técnico Carlo Ancelotti convocar o atacante Neymar, do Santos, para os próximos dois jogos da seleção brasileira tem sido rechaçada nas redes sociais. Para alguns torcedores, o camisa 10 do Peixe ainda não mostrou que merece estar no grupo de jogadores que vai representar o Brasil na Copa do Mundo do ano que vem.
Desfalque do Santos na derrota contra o Bahia no fim de semana, pelo Brasileirão, Neymar teve que cumprir suspensão. Segundo o clube, o astro ainda faz tratamento para curar um edema na coxa sofrido durante um treinamento na semana passada. A última vez que vestiu a camisa amarela foi na derrota para o Uruguai em outubro de 2023, quando lesionou o ligamento cruzado anterior do joelho.
A expectativa é que o camisa 10 do Santos tenha condições de jogo já no próximo dia 31, quando o Peixe recebe a visita do Fluminense pela 22[ rodada do Brasileirão, na Vila Belmiro, às 16h (de Brasília). Tudo vai depender, no entanto, da recuperação completa ser confirmada ao longo dessa semana e o atleta voltar a treinar sem restrições com os companheiros.
Convocação da seleção brasileira: qual horário vai ser?
A lista com a presença de 23 jogadores será anunciada pelo técnico Carlo Ancelotti nesta segunda-feira (25), às 15h30 (horário de Brasília), na sede da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), na Barra da Tijuca, no Rio de Janeiro. Os atletas serão selecionados para os dois últimos compromissos do Brasil pelas Eliminatórias da Copa do Mundo de 2026.
Já com a classificação garantida para o Mundial do ano que vem e na terceira posição na tabela de classificação da Eliminatórias, com 25 pontos, a seleção brasileira recebe o Chile no dia 4 de setembro (quinta-feira), às 21h30 (de Brasília), no Maracanã, e visita a Bolívia na sequência, no dia 9 (terça-feira), às 20h30 (de Brasília), em El Alto, localizada a uma altitude de 4 mil metros.
Os duelos da próxima Data Fifa serão apenas o terceiro e o quarto do técnico Ancelotti à frente da seleção brasileira. O italiano estreou no empate contra o Equador e na vitória diante do Paraguai disputados em junho, que garantiram a classificação na Copa do Mundo de 2026, que será disputada nos Estados Unidos, Canadá e México.
Possíveis surpresas na convocação
Como o Brasil já tem presença garantida na Copa do Mundo, o técnico Carlo Ancelotti deve dar oportunidade para atletas que vêm se destacando, mas que estiveram poucas vezes ou nunca na seleção brasileira. Um dos nomes mais esperados é o do atacante Luiz Henrique, do Zenit-RUS, craque do Brasileirão do ano passado, que não vinha sendo convocado.
