„Martin se vypracoval mezi naše klíčové postavy, udržuje si stabilně dobrou výkonnost a jsme rádi, že jsme se velmi rychle domluvili i na prodloužení jeho kontraktu,“ řekl sportovní ředitel plzeňského klubu Daniel Kolář.
Jedlička je poslední rok a půl jasnou jedničkou Viktorie, které pomohl do čtvrtfinále Konferenční ligy a v minulé sezoně k druhému místu v lize. Za své výkony byl oceněn vítězstvím v anketě Ligové fotbalové asociace o nejlepšího brankáře nejvyšší soutěže. Celkem zatím odchytal za Plzeň 75 soutěžních utkání.
„V Plzni se mně i celé mé rodině líbí, jsme tady šťastní. Nebyl důvod, proč bych se s klubem nedomluvil. A i pro mě je dobře, že mám toto vyřešené a mohu se soustředit jen na fotbal. Máme před sebou náročnou sezonu jak v domácích soutěžích, tak i na evropské scéně, na což se celý tým strašně těší,“ uvedl Jedlička.
Rodák z Příbrami si vyzkoušel ligu i v Mladé Boleslavi a Bohemians 1905, čtyři roky působil na Slovensku v Dunajské Stredě. Několikrát už byl součástí reprezentačního výběru, na premiérový start v národním týmu ale stále čeká.
