A Arena MRV recebe nesta quarta-feira (27) a primeira partida das quartas de final da Copa do Brasil, entre Atlético-MG x Cruzeiro. O estádio, que completa dois anos exatamente neste 27 de agosto, deve também receber seu maior público da temporada. A bola rola às 19h30 (de Brasília).
Atleticano declarado, o narrador Rômulo Mendonça, que irá narrar o clássico pelo Prime Video, projetou Atlético-MG x Cruzeiro. À Rádio Itatiaia, o profissional afirmou que espera uma grande batalha e que o jogo não deve ser dos mais vistosos.
“Espero uma grande batalha. Nem espero nada muito técnico não, nada muito sofisticado e belo não. Mas vai ser uma batalha gigantesca”, iniciou o Rômulo Mendonça.
Atlético-MG ou Cruzeiro? Rômulo responde
De acordo com o narrador, a melhor fase atual do Cruzeiro não deve ser um diferencial muito grande para o clássico contra o Atlético-MG. Isso porque ele imagina que em campo o duelo será bastante brigado e apela para que não haja violência. Entretanto, preferiu ficar “em cima do muro”.
“Claro que o Cruzeiro está numa fase bem melhor que a do Atlético, mas em clássico, ainda mais sendo Copa do Brasil, série eliminatória, é batalha. Só espero que não seja violenta, mas vai ser uma disputa de território, vai ser uma intensidade gigantesca”, apontou.
“No atual futebol, a primeira medida de todo técnico é sobreviver para decidir no segundo jogo. Por isso acho que vai ser um jogo de grande disputa, mas não acredito numa vantagem muito grande de um time em relação a outro não”, disse Rômulo Mendonça.
Rony de titular ou outra opção?
Ainda na entrevista, Rômulo Mendonça defendeu a titularidade de Rony apesar de toda contestação da torcida. Apesar disso, o técnico Cuca “não ouviu” o narrador. Isso porque Dudu foi escalado para começar no ataque junto com Hulk.
“Apesar de o Rony perder muitas oportunidades, não ser um cara muito técnico, a gente já conhece de alguma tempo, Palmeiras, Athletico-PR, mas ainda seguiria com o Rony como titular, junto do Cuello, Hulk e Scarpa. Manteria essa formação”, afirmou.
