Zico, ao analisar o poderoso elenco do Flamengo, enxerga apenas uma questão em aberto. Diante da sequência de Léo Ortiz e Léo Pereira, o ex-jogador sugere que o time não fique dependente de Danilo, desfalque recente após lesão posterior da coxa direita, como suplente imediato. Neste cenário, apesar da dupla promissora na base formada por João Victor e Iago, a possibilidade de outro zagueiro mais experiente chegar ao clube é avaliada de forma positiva, algo que promoveria margem para o descanso dos titulares.
“A dificuldade maior do Flamengo, hoje, são os dois da zaga porque está sobrecarregando. O Danilo machucou e voltou, ficou só o Léo Ortiz e o Léo Pereira. Precisava de mais uma opção. Talvez seja o único setor que está mais vulnerável. Tem três e mais um jovem que está sendo mais utilizado.”, disse Zico, ao podcast “Conexões JBFM”, no YouTube.
“Os dois do sub-20 são muito bons, João Victor e Iago, e tem o Cleiton também, que é de uma safra anterior, mas não está sendo utilizado. Hoje, é só Léo Ortiz e Léo Pereira na quarta e domingo. Fica pesado. Com o Danilo voltando, pode trocar um ou outro. Aí tá tranquilo.”, prosseguiu.
Contratados em 2025, Jorginho e Saúl estão formando uma dupla de encher os olhos no Flamengo. Levando em conta a qualidade da dupla de volantes, Zico considera que Arrascaeta, Plata, Bruno Henrique, Pedro e companhia se encontram privilegiados em receberem passes certeiros e propícios para levar perigo aos rivais.
“O Flamengo faz craque em casa e venda, e traz craques também. Gostei (das contratações). São dois jogadores de extrema qualidade no meio-campo com o Jorginho e Saúl. Isso facilita para os caras da frente porque a bola chega limpa. É a posição que eu joguei, quando (a bola) chega bonita para você, só se preocupa em treinar para colocar a bola pra dentro.”, afirmou.
Zico evita comparação
Em relação ao passado com Zico, Adílio e Andrade, o Galinho não quis mencionar que Jorginho, Saúl e Arrascaeta podem igualar o legado histórico. Torcendo pelo sucesso do trio, o eterno camisa 10 do Flamengo reforçou o alerta ligado ao nível de desgaste enquanto a temporada vai reservar jogos decisivos no Brasileirão e Libertadores.
“Eu não gosto de fazer comparação. São bons e tomara que ganhem muito como a gente ganhou. Mas, hoje, está um equilíbrio maior entre as equipes no futebol mundial. É competição em cima de competição, se machuca em uma e não pode jogar a outra. Isso é problemático. Por isso que o Flamengo está montando um plantel bom para disputar várias competições.”, externou.
