Ryan Crow, the outside linebackers coach for the Miami Dolphins, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Friday morning on a domestic battery charge.
The Dolphins have placed the 37-year-old Crow on administrative leave. He remains jailed without bond.
“We are aware of the serious matter involving Ryan Crow and are currently gathering more information,” the Dolphins said in a statement. “Ryan has been placed on administrative leave effective immediately. We have been in communication with the NFL and will reserve further comment at this time.”
According to jail records from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Crow is accused of “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence.”

Jail records show that the charge is related to domestic violence. An arrest report states that Crow and the alleged victim live as a family in Fort Lauderdale and an argument ensued regarding past relationships. The argument escalated and Crow allegedly intentionally shoved the victim, who was not injured.
Several witnesses saw what happened and called police, according to NBC 6.
One witness said he saw Crow put his arms around the victim, and it looked like he was going to perform a takedown.
The victim’s legs were off the ground, and the witness told officers that Crow whispered something into the victim’s ear.
A second victim, the report said, saw Crow throwing slaps and trying to grapple the victim.
When Crow noticed people were watching, he stopped and headed to his apartment.
Crow was hired by the Dolphins in 2024 after serving as the outside linebackers coach for the Tennessee Titans from 2018 to 2023. Prior to working in the NFL, Crow coached in the college ranks at Ohio State, Baldwin Wallace and Purdue.
