Dolphins (-2.5) vs. Jets
Tua Tagovailoa is 5-0 as a starter in his career against the Jets, and in six career games against New York, he is completing 73.6% of his passes. The 27-year-old threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns in a 32-26 overtime victory in Miami against the Jets last season, marking the Dolphins’ ninth straight victory over New York in Miami. The Jets have allowed at least 29 points in all three games this season, ranking 29th in the NFL in scoring defense (31 ppg). The Jets are 26th in rushing defense (133 yards per game), and De’Von Achane can take advantage of that on Monday. Both teams are 0-3 this season, but Miami has only played one game at home this season. The model projects Miami to win and cover the spread in 59% of simulations.
Broncos (-7.5) vs. Bengals
The Bengals are coming off a 48-10 loss to the Vikings last week behind five Cincinnati turnovers, including two interceptions by Jake Browning in his first start of the season. The 29-year-old continues as the Bengals’ QB1 following Joe Burrow’s toe injury, and he has five interceptions over two games this season. Meanwhile, Denver enters with what was considered one of the best defenses in the NFL before the season, ranking third in the league in points allowed last season, and given how often the Bengals turned the ball over last week, maintaining possession could be a challenge again on Monday Night Football. Bo Nix enters his second NFL season after throwing for 3,775 yards last season, and running back J.K. Dobbins has rushed for at least 60 yards and a touchdown in all three games to provide a reliable option in the rushing attack. The Bengals are 28th in the NFL in scoring defense (30.3 ppg), and the model expects Denver to take advantage of that, covering the spread in 55% of simulations.
Valencia (-145) to defeat Real Oviedo on the 90-minute line
“Valencia enters this match unbeaten on home soil this season, recording shutout victories in their past two La Liga fixtures at Mestalla Stadium,” SportsLine soccer expert Brandt Sutton said. “Oviedo, meanwhile, has lost five of their six league matches and has been shutout in their last two away fixtures. Oviedo is also coming off a 3-1 setback against Barcelona on Thursday, a game in which they conceded 80% of possession, so they could be dealing with heavy legs and fatigue against Valencia.”
